Historical U.S. snapshot: Prices checked around August 12, 2025. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were discontinued models with limited new stock, so refurbished and marketplace listings offered the most practical savings.
For most shoppers, the best value was an unlocked refurbished Pixel 7 starting at about $180–$183. A Pixel 7 Pro around $400–$430 could make sense for buyers who wanted its 120Hz display and telephoto camera. Carrier offers were worthwhile mainly for people who already needed the qualifying wireless plan.
Quick verdict
| Priority | Best reported option | Price or promotion | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lowest upfront cost | Back Market refurbished Pixel 7 | From about $180–$183 | Final price depended on storage, condition, seller and stock. |
| Best cheap Pro model | Amazon Pixel 7 Pro listing | About $399.99 | Verify condition, seller, storage, unlock status and warranty. |
| Alternative Pro listing | Amazon or marketplace listing | About $419.95–$429.97 | Do not assume a higher price means better condition. |
| Best unlocked promotional route | Google Store | $150 off, plus up to $300 trade-in credit | The trade-in maximum was device-specific and not a typical guaranteed credit. |
| Best phone-and-service bundle | Mint Mobile | $200 off Pixel 7 Pro plus six months of service free | Required a six-month plan and prepaid-service commitment. |
| Best carrier-financing route | Verizon | About $15 per month | Required a new line on an unlimited plan; service was extra. |
These were reported August 2025 offers, not current August 2026 prices. Discontinued-phone inventory can disappear or change condition without notice. The relevant comparison is not the biggest advertised discount; it is the total cost for the phone, service, trade-in and warranty you actually need.
Best Pixel 7 deals
Best overall value: refurbished unlocked Pixel 7 from Back Market
The lowest reported starting price was approximately $180–$183 for a refurbished unlocked Pixel 7 through Back Market. That was a starting price rather than a universal price for every configuration.

Back Market is a marketplace, so the listing—not just the store name—determines the deal. Compare the seller rating, cosmetic grade, battery policy, warranty, return window, storage capacity and exact unlock status before paying. A slightly more expensive unit with a stronger return policy may be the better personal-finance choice.
Buy it if: you want the lowest device-only price, do not need a telephoto camera and can accept a used battery and cosmetic condition that may differ from new.
Main drawback: the phone was already a 2022 model in August 2025, and the cheapest unit may have the weakest battery condition or seller protection.
Lower-risk refurbished option: Google Certified Refurbished
Google Certified Refurbished was the safer route when its price was competitive. Google says the program includes multi-point testing, genuine Google parts where needed, battery testing against its performance standards, a new box, a compatible charging cable, Google customer support and a one-year limited warranty. Google also describes free shipping and returns under the program details.
The trade-off is availability. The cheapest Back Market unit could cost less, while Google Certified Refurbished inventory might not include the color, storage or model you want. No reliable August 12, 2025 checkout price was established for every Google Certified Refurbished configuration, so compare the actual listing rather than assuming it beats the marketplace price.

Best Pixel 7 Pro deals
Best cheap Pixel 7 Pro: marketplace listings around $400–$430
Reported listings included approximately $399.99 on Amazon, another listing around $419.95, and a Walmart marketplace alternative around $429.97. These should be treated as separate listings, not as a quality ranking.
Before comparing them, establish whether each phone was new old stock, Amazon Renewed, refurbished or used; whether it was sold by Amazon or a third-party seller; whether it was unlocked; whether it was 128GB or 256GB; and which warranty or marketplace guarantee applied. The linked Amazon listings were one listing and another listing.
Buy around $400–$430 if: you specifically value the Pro’s larger 6.7-inch display, 120Hz refresh rate and 5x optical telephoto camera, and the phone has a reputable seller, acceptable returns and verified unlocked status.

Best Pro deal with a trade-in: Google Store
The reported Google Store promotion offered $150 off upfront and up to $300 in trade-in savings. “Up to” is the critical qualification: the actual value depended on the device submitted, its condition and eligibility.

Enter your exact phone model and condition into Google’s trade-in flow before comparing. Also account for the possibility that the final credit could change after inspection. This route was potentially strongest for someone with a high-value trade-in who wanted an unlocked purchase, but it was not automatically cheaper than a $400 marketplace phone.
Best bundled offer: Mint Mobile
The reported Mint Mobile promotion gave $200 off the Pixel 7 Pro and six months of service free with a six-month plan. This was a phone-plus-prepaid-service offer, not a device-only discount.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIt could be attractive if you already wanted Mint’s service and expected to keep it for the required term. Compare the prepaid amount, taxes, network needs, international requirements and refund rules. Someone seeking only a cheap unlocked phone should not count six months of unwanted service as savings.
Best carrier-financing route: Verizon
Verizon was reported to offer the Pixel 7 Pro for about $15 per month with a new line on an unlimited plan. That figure described the phone payment or promotional device cost under the offer; it did not represent the total cost of ownership.
This could work for a customer already moving to Verizon or adding a needed line. It was a poor comparison for someone who could buy an unlocked Pixel outright and use a cheaper existing plan. New-line eligibility, installment length, bill credits, taxes, activation fees and early cancellation rules all mattered.

| Camera distinction | No Pro telephoto system | 5x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom as described in the deal coverage |
Google announced U.S. retail availability beginning October 13, 2022, at $599 for Pixel 7 and $899 for Pixel 7 Pro. Both phones still offered Google’s camera processing and Tensor G2 experience in August 2025, but the Pro’s extra camera hardware and smoother display justified its premium only for buyers who would use them.
- Choose Pixel 7 for the lowest price, a smaller 6.3-inch phone, strong everyday Pixel photography and acceptable 90Hz scrolling.
- Choose Pixel 7 Pro for the larger, sharper-feeling 120Hz display and telephoto zoom, provided the premium over a Pixel 7 remains reasonable.
How much support remained?
Google’s policy says Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro receive five years of operating-system and security updates beginning when each device first became available on the Google Store in the U.S. Because availability began in October 2022, support extending to approximately October 2027 is an inference from that policy and date—not a separately stated end-of-support date. See Google’s Pixel update policy.
That left roughly two years of official support in August 2025. Five years includes operating-system and security updates, but a later feature may not be available on every older Pixel. Newer Pixel 8-series and later phones receive seven years of updates under Google’s policy, giving them a materially longer runway.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When the Pixel 7 still made financial sense
The Pixel 7 was compelling when an unlocked, reputable refurbished unit cost roughly $180–$250, the battery and warranty were acceptable, and you expected to keep it for only the remaining supported period. The Pro could be reasonable around $400–$430 if its camera and display features mattered.
As an editorial rule of thumb, if a newer Pixel 8, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9a or refurbished Pixel 8 cost only about $100–$150 more after discounts, consider paying the difference for newer hardware and a longer update runway. That is a decision heuristic, not a verified universal August 2025 price.
Best Value
- Google Pixel 7 is powered by Google Tensor G2; it’s faster, more efficient, and more secure, with the best photo and video quality yet on Pixel[1].Other camera description:Front,Rear.Bluetooth Version 5.2 with dual antennas for enhanced quality and connection.
- Unlocked Android 5G phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers

- The 6.3-inch Pixel 7 display is super sharp, with rich, vivid colors; it’s fast and responsive for smoother gaming, scrolling, and moving between apps[4]
- Google Pixel 7 has wide and ultrawide lenses with up to 8x Super Res Zoom[5]; and Cinematic Blur brings more drama to your videos
Consider the Pixel 7a if you want a potentially cheaper, newer phone and can accept fewer flagship features. Consider a newer Pixel 8-series or Pixel 9a phone if long-term support matters more than the lowest upfront cost. Samsung Galaxy models may be preferable for shoppers prioritizing battery life, modem performance or broader hardware availability; compare the actual price, storage, support policy and warranty rather than choosing by brand alone.
How to avoid a bad deal
- Confirm the exact model. Make sure the listing says Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, not Pixel 7a or another generation.
- Check storage. The lowest price is often for 128GB. Choose 256GB if you shoot substantial 4K video, keep offline media or plan to retain the phone for years.
- Verify unlock status and compatibility. Confirm the U.S. model, intended carrier, supported 5G bands, eSIM and physical-SIM compatibility. “Unlocked” does not guarantee optimal support on every network.
- Check the IMEI. Confirm the phone is not blacklisted, reported lost or stolen, or still tied to someone else’s financing.
- Read battery and condition disclosures. Look for battery-health information, screen burn-in, scratches, camera-glass damage, charging-port wear and included accessories. Do not assume a refurbished battery is new unless the seller guarantees it.
- Put the warranty beside the price. Google’s certified program offered a one-year limited warranty; marketplace protection, seller warranties and manufacturer warranties are not interchangeable.
- Read the return window. A return period is especially important when the listing does not guarantee battery capacity or cosmetic condition.
- Calculate carrier offers in full. Include the device payments, required plan, activation fees, taxes and surcharges, then subtract only credits you can realistically receive and keep.
- Read trade-in conditions. Photograph your phone, record its condition and understand how inspection can reduce the quoted credit.
The real cost of a carrier deal
Use this calculation for Verizon, Mint or any similar promotion:
Total cost = device payments + required wireless plan + activation fees + taxes and surcharges + line or upgrade fees - bill credits - service incentives
Bill credits may require 24 or 36 months of service. Leaving early can forfeit future credits and leave an unpaid device balance. A “free” phone may require a new line, and promotional credits may not begin immediately. Taxes may be charged on the full device price. Mint’s service incentive also required paying for a six-month prepaid term up front.
For a fair comparison, calculate the cost of the carrier plan you would otherwise buy—not the carrier’s entire headline bill if you already needed that service. A carrier deal can win when you genuinely need the plan; it can be more expensive when the plan exists only to unlock the phone discount.
Bottom line
For the August 2025 U.S. market, the best low-cost choice was a reputable refurbished unlocked Pixel 7 around $180–$250. It delivered the core Pixel experience without a carrier commitment, although buyers accepted an older battery and a support horizon inferred to end around October 2027.
The Pixel 7 Pro around $400–$430 was the better phone for its 120Hz display and 5x telephoto camera, but not automatically the better deal. Google Store trade-in promotions could beat marketplace prices for shoppers with a genuinely valuable eligible phone. Mint and Verizon were sensible only when their required service fit the buyer’s needs. Otherwise, compare the final Pixel 7-series price with newer Pixel 8, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9a or refurbished Pixel 8 models before committing.
