Who holds the AmEx Black Card?
Centurion is an invitation-only American Express card, but the available official materials do not identify individual holders or publish a verified roster. That means there is no reliable public list to use for confirming celebrity or executive cardholder claims. The card’s exclusivity is documented; particular people’s ownership often is not.
American Express Global Network’s April 2023 Business and Operational Policies Manual says issuers must conduct acquisition “by invitation only via pre-approved applications” to select customers. That is an issuer-policy description, not a disclosure of the personal criteria used to select any individual.
How do you get an AmEx Black Card?
American Express describes Centurion acquisition as invitation-only. The official materials reviewed do not state a minimum annual spend, income requirement, wealth threshold, or process that guarantees an invitation. Popular figures circulated online should not be treated as an official qualification rule without reliable, current evidence.

In practical terms, there is no public application path or published formula to follow. An invitation is not something a prospective applicant can calculate from a disclosed spending target.
How much does the U.S. AmEx Centurion Card cost?
The American Express U.S. Centurion agreement marked “As of: 03/31/2026” lists a $5,000 initiation fee and a $5,000 annual fee. It also lists no foreign transaction fee. These are figures for that U.S. agreement and date; they should not be assumed to apply to Centurion products in other markets.

What are the real Centurion Card benefits?
Benefits depend on the specific product, issuing market, account status, and eligibility terms. The examples below come from U.S. Corporate Centurion terms and are not a universal description of every consumer, corporate, or international Centurion card.
Concierge and membership services
Centurion Membership Services can handle select requests, including purchasing available event tickets, making available dining and other reservations (such as spa or golf), general travel inquiries, and shopping requests such as flowers or gifts. The terms leave the decision to provide a service to American Express’s discretion and allow it to decline requests. Concierge access therefore does not guarantee a ticket, reservation, special access, or a particular shopping result.

- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
Conditional airport arrival and departure services
U.S. Corporate Centurion terms describe complimentary arrival and departure services at participating airports for eligible U.S. Centurion members who buy a first- or business-class ticket through Amex Travel—on its website or through Centurion Membership Services—using the Centurion Card. Advance booking is required, and availability is limited to participating airports.
The terms do not promise expedited customs or immigration processing: those steps remain subject to airport and government officials. This benefit is not a general airport fast track for every Centurion cardholder or itinerary.

Airfares and lounges
The same U.S. Corporate Centurion terms mention reduced Centurion Member Airfares through Amex Travel and lounge access subject to applicable account and eligibility terms. Check the current terms for the specific card and account before relying on either benefit; Platinum Card lounge rules should not be assumed to apply to Centurion.
Equinox enrollment option
The U.S. Corporate Centurion terms describe an Equinox Destination Access or Equinox+ enrollment option for qualifying U.S.-issued Centurion members, subject to age and account-status conditions. Eligibility and current availability should be checked against the live benefit terms.

Why Centurion benefits are hard to summarize universally
“The Centurion Card” does not mean that every cardholder worldwide has identical benefits. The U.S. agreement, U.S. Corporate Centurion benefit terms, and international products can differ. Before assigning value to a perk, confirm the issuing country, the consumer or corporate product, the cardholder’s eligibility, and any booking, enrollment, or availability conditions in the relevant current terms.
