Which four meme coins did the 2025 article name?
TronWeekly published “4 Best New Meme Coins for Significant Returns That Are Winning Over Investors in 2025” on January 8, 2025. The article named these four tokens. Its descriptions should be read as what that article said at the time, not as independently verified or current project information.

“Not established” does not mean a token has no market, listing, or project activity; it means those details cannot be confirmed from the cited material. A ticker or name alone is also not enough to identify a token safely: similarly named assets and counterfeit tokens can exist, so any investigation needs to start with the correct network and contract address.
Why the article’s return claims are not a forecast
The 2025 article used a hypothetical investment and projected listing price to illustrate a possible gain. That calculation depended on the article’s assumed price. It did not demonstrate that buyers could obtain that price, sell at it, or trade enough tokens at that price to realize the return. A projected listing price is not a quoted market price or a guarantee of a listing.

The same caution applies to the article’s BTFD figures. Its reported presale proceeds, token sales, community count, and staking APY have not been independently verified here. Even if such figures were accurate when published, they would not show whether the presale, staking terms, game, referral program, or community remain active—or whether tokens can be bought or sold on usable markets now. In particular, an advertised APY is not the same as a guaranteed return: the token’s price can move, and the available evidence does not establish current staking terms or the conditions behind that rate.
What the SEC staff statement does—and does not—say
On February 27, 2025, the SEC Division of Corporation Finance issued a staff statement describing meme coins as typically speculative and volatile, with limited or no functionality. The statement is a general staff view about the kind of meme coin it describes, not an individualized finding about BTFD, APU, FARTCOIN, or ANDY. It also says its view is not dispositive for a particular asset or offering and does not cover products using the meme-coin label to evade securities laws. It should not be read as a blanket legal classification of these four tokens.

What to verify before comparing any of the four today
A present-day comparison requires current, token-specific evidence. Check each item against primary project or network records where possible, and treat promotional claims as claims until corroborated.
- Identity: Confirm the token’s network and contract address from a reliable primary source. Do not rely on a ticker or search result alone.
- Trading and liquidity: Identify active venues and inspect whether there is meaningful liquidity and trading activity. A displayed price does not by itself show that a position can be sold at that price.
- Supply and distribution: Check total and circulating supply, allocation, concentration among holders, and any controls that affect token transfers or supply.
- Function and promotion: Separate working product features from planned features, marketing language, or claims about community size and future value.
- Security and risks: Look for a security review and understand what it covers; an audit claim alone does not establish that a token is safe. Review disclosed risks and any relevant legal or technical documentation.
The January 2025 article does not provide enough current, comparable evidence on these points to support a ranking among the four. Until those checks are made, “best” and “significant returns” are promotional framing, not conclusions supported by the available facts.
