Forbes’ 2021 ranking of the world’s youngest billionaires included 10 people under 30, from 18-year-old Kevin David Lehmann to two 29-year-olds. The fortunes below are historical estimates based on share prices and exchange rates on March 5, 2021—not current net worth figures.

The table follows the age order in Forbes Italia’s April 7, 2021 publication of the list. Net-worth figures are Forbes estimates for the March 5, 2021 snapshot; country and source of wealth are as stated in that list.

How the fortunes were built
The ranking combined inherited ownership with wealth associated with company stakes and trading. It is not a ranking of self-made billionaires, and the estimates do not represent comparable operating income or cash earnings.

Inherited stakes
Forbes Italia said Lehmann inherited his father’s 50% stake in German drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt. Alexandra and Katharina Andresen each inherited a 42% stake in Norwegian investment company Ferd.
Company ownership and founding
The list attributed Austin Russell’s wealth to autonomous-vehicle technology and described him as self-made through Luminar Technologies. DoorDash cofounders Andy Fang and Stanley Tang were each estimated at $2 billion as of March 5, 2021. Gustav Magnar Witzoe’s wealth was attributed to fish farming, Wang Zelong’s to chemical compounds manufacturing, and Jonathan Kwok’s to real estate.
Trading-related wealth
Sam Bankman-Fried’s estimate was tied to crypto trading and FTX-related holdings in Forbes’ 2021 coverage. That figure is a historical estimate from the March 5, 2021 snapshot, not an assessment of his wealth today.
What the 2021 ranking says about billionaires under 30
Forbes reported that 10 billionaires were under 30 in 2021, the same number as the prior year. Their estimated combined wealth was $29.5 billion. In the same 2021 reporting, Forbes counted 2,755 billionaires worldwide, a net increase of 660 from the previous year. These are Forbes’ 2021 figures, not current totals.

The list is best read as a dated comparison of estimated net worth, age, country and reported wealth source. Each estimate reflects the assets and valuation assumptions used for that specific person, so the dollar values are not a like-for-like measure of business performance.
