How to read an all-time darts earnings ranking
There is no independently verified net-worth ledger for these players in the cited sources. “Richest” is therefore best understood here as highest reported career prize money. The ranking below uses DartsKing’s list, published December 5, 2025, which reports career prize money through that date.
Prize money is only one part of a player’s finances. It is gross career earnings as reported by the ranking publisher, not the amount a player kept after taxes and costs or their current wealth. Sponsorships and other income are not represented by this measure.

Why other lists produce a different top ten
Decent Darts published a separate ranking based on PDC professional player prize money, using DartsOrakel data from January 1, 1994 and stating a data cutoff of October 15, 2025. It has the same leading eight players in the same order, but places Adrian Lewis ninth and Rob Cross tenth. DartsKing’s later list places Luke Humphries ninth and Adrian Lewis tenth.

The figures should not be treated as interchangeable: the publishers use different stated cutoffs and describe different data scopes and sources. Even the leading positions show that totals vary between lists. Naming the publisher and cutoff is essential when citing an all-time total.
Who has earned the most prize money in darts?
Michael van Gerwen ranks first in both reviewed career-earnings lists. DartsKing reports £11,867,610 through December 5, 2025; Decent Darts reports £11,857,300 for its PDC professional prize-money dataset with an October 15, 2025 cutoff. Both place Phil Taylor second and Peter Wright third.

How this differs from the current Order of Merit
A current Order of Merit is not a lifetime earnings table. Darts Rankings’ snapshot dated September 23, 2026 lists Luke Littler first, with 3,139 in units of £1,000. That is a current ranking view, not a cumulative career-prize-money position; it cannot be substituted for the all-time list above.
