At Tesla’s November 6, 2025 shareholder meeting, Musk said the company would start Cybercab production in April “next year”—meaning April 2026. TechCrunch reported the statement as a forward-looking target, not confirmation that production had begun.

Tesla described the Q2 milestone in its company update. It is a corporate statement, not an independent audit of production volume; the update did not give a unit count or production run rate.

No. Tesla said public-road engineering test drives of production vehicles began during Q2, and employee rides on the factory campus began in July. Those activities are distinct from broad public Robotaxi service. The Associated Press reported that Tesla did not specify how many Cybercabs it expected on roads or give an exact rollout timeline; Musk also said additional chassis testing was needed.

Accordingly, the available updates establish a factory production start during Q2 2026 and the start of engineering tests, but not a public fleet launch date or fleet size.
