What the Tennessee ruling means
Williamson County Chancery Court denied Roblox Corporation’s request to dismiss Tennessee’s consumer-protection suit. Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti characterized the outcome by saying, “The Court’s ruling means that Roblox will have to answer for those statements.” That is Skrmetti’s description, not a quotation from the court or a separate finding that the statements were false. The announcement does not provide Roblox’s response to the motion ruling.
What Tennessee alleges
Tennessee announced the lawsuit on December 18, 2025, alleging that Roblox misled parents and children about the safety of its platform in violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act.
