Joining does not guarantee earnings: eligibility, commission rates, attribution windows, and reward amounts depend on the market and campaign. Temu advertises commissions of up to 30%, but that is a conditional promotional maximum—not a typical or guaranteed rate.
What is the Temu Affiliate Program?
Temu describes its affiliate program as a referral program for publishers who bring users to Temu. After joining, affiliates can access links, codes, and shareable content through affiliate tools. If an eligible user completes an action that qualifies under the applicable offer, the affiliate may receive a reward.
Temu says the program operates in more than 80 countries and regions, but availability and rewards differ by market. The FAQ cited here is a Malta-locale page, so its examples should not be treated as universal. Check the terms shown in your own signup flow or dashboard before promoting an offer.
Who can join, and where can affiliates promote?
Temu’s materials identify group administrators and members, community leaders, coupon and deal publishers, forum contributors, and content-based websites as potential partners. The listed examples are not a guarantee of approval; follow the current eligibility and channel rules presented during signup.

#1 Best Overall
Choose a channel where people can assess the offer in context. A coupon page can explain who qualifies and when an offer expires; a community post can make clear why a deal is relevant to its members. Disclose that a link or code is an affiliate referral, and put material new-user or timing conditions beside the offer rather than leaving readers to discover them after clicking.
How does the program work?
- Register. Complete the program signup and provide the profile or channel information requested.
- Access affiliate tools. If accepted, use the affiliate portal to obtain the available links, codes, and shareable content.
- Share through permitted channels. Promote the relevant link or code in accordance with the local program terms.
- Wait for qualifying activity and review. Rewards may be credited after eligible users complete the required actions and the activity meets the offer’s rules.
A click alone does not establish that a referral will earn. The user may need to be eligible as a new user, use the correct referral method, complete a required action within the offer window, and make an order that meets the conditions.

What actions can earn rewards?
Depending on the market and campaign, possible rewards include eligible-order commissions, rewards for qualifying referrals or app downloads, and selected campaign or performance incentives. Not every offer includes every reward type, and the rules attached to a particular link or code determine what counts.
Temu’s Malta FAQ describes link-based referrals as generally requiring the referred user to download the app through the affiliate link, register within the required period, and place an order before the offer expires. Timing varies by market and campaign. The FAQ also gives a code-based example: redeem the code within one hour after downloading the app, then place a qualifying order within 30 days. Those timings are an example from that FAQ, not a promise that the same windows apply to every location or promotion.

How are commissions calculated?
Temu’s recruitment page advertises commissions of “up to 30%.” That figure is a promotional maximum, not a standard rate or an earnings forecast. Temu’s FAQ says rates, order thresholds, and calculation rules vary by market, campaign, and local terms; the exact rate and calculation relevant to you should be checked in your dashboard or offer details.
The FAQ gives an illustrative calculation: if a qualifying app-download reward were $12 and an eligible referred user placed a $50 order at a 40% commission rate, the example total would be $12 + $20 = $32. This is an example on Temu’s page, not evidence of a current offer, a universal formula, or typical earnings.
Temu’s official materials do not establish an independently verified average publisher income or conversion rate. Actual results depend on factors such as audience fit, eligible-user status, qualifying purchases, attribution, local rules, and campaign availability.
Are rewards tied to new-user referrals?
New-user eligibility is central to many referral offers. Temu says its intended audience primarily includes eligible new users, such as first-time app users and, in some markets, people who reinstall after a required period of inactivity. A person who has used the app before may not qualify, even if they click a link or enter a code. Confirm the definition in the offer’s local terms.
Best Value
Temu’s guidance suggests that offers may be more relevant to people who have not completed the qualifying action and who are receptive to deals, product recommendations, or community sharing. Treat this as the company’s program guidance, not independent evidence about conversion rates.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why might a referred order not earn a commission?
An order placed after a referral does not necessarily meet the program’s attribution and eligibility rules. Temu’s FAQ lists common reasons a reward may not appear:
- The referred person did not meet the offer’s new-user or other eligibility requirements.
- The order did not meet the qualifying criteria.
- The order was canceled or returned.
- The person did not use the correct affiliate link or code.
- You checked a different account from the one associated with the referral.
Check the particular offer’s conditions and the account tied to your promotion. A referral may also fail if a required step was missed or its deadline passed; the applicable window depends on the market and campaign.
How to decide whether the program fits your audience
Before investing time in promotion, assess whether your readers can use the offer and whether you can explain its conditions accurately. Useful checks include:

- Offer mechanics: Are the required download, registration, code, purchase, and timing conditions clear?
- Channel rules: Does your intended group, forum, site, or other channel comply with the program’s terms?
- Audience relevance: Can you explain why the offer is useful to your readers rather than relying on a generic promotional post?
For a fair comparison with another affiliate program, evaluate both programs on the same points: geography, new-user definitions, download and order rewards, attribution windows and exclusions, channel rules, payment methods and thresholds, and the detail available in current terms. The Temu materials establish meaningful variation in its own market and campaign rules; they do not show that it is better or worse than competitors.
