Darcie Henry moved from Amazon to Snap
Snap announced on May 25, 2021, that Darcie Henry would become its chief human resources officer. She was scheduled to begin on July 6 and report to Snap co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel.

Henry had spent 23 years at Amazon, beginning in 1998. Most recently, she was Amazon’s vice president of human resources for Global Consumer and Operations. At Snap, she was expected to oversee talent acquisition and management, total rewards, diversity, equity and inclusion, and broader hiring, retention and employee-support functions.
Henry succeeded Lara Sweet, who had decided to retire in March 2021. Snap described Henry’s experience managing large, rapidly growing teams and building global human-resources operations as relevant to the company’s next phase of expansion. That is the company’s characterization of the appointment, not evidence that Henry caused any particular later business result.

Axios reported that Henry was the third C-suite executive Snap had recruited from Amazon, following Jeremi Gorman and Derek Andersen. The appointment also fit Snap’s broader effort to build out its senior leadership after the company’s 2017 initial public offering.
Tableau CFO Damon Fletcher joined DataRobot
Damon Fletcher left Tableau to become chief financial officer of DataRobot. According to the original GeekWire roundup, Fletcher had spent seven years at Tableau and was promoted to CFO in 2018.
DataRobot confirmed his appointment as part of an expansion of its executive team. The company’s announcement placed the move in the context of a $300 million Series G funding round and its acquisition of Algorithmia.

The available announcements confirm Fletcher’s arrival at DataRobot, but they do not establish whether his departure from Tableau was a resignation, a planned succession or an involuntary exit. It is therefore more accurate to say that he departed Tableau to join DataRobot than to assign a reason that the sources do not document.
Tableau was also losing its CEO to AWS
Adam Selipsky, then Tableau’s CEO, returned to Amazon Web Services on May 17, 2021, to become AWS CEO. That timing provides useful context for the leadership changes around Tableau, but it does not by itself show that Tableau was experiencing a crisis or dysfunction.
Other Pacific Northwest technology moves
Expedia Group
GeekWire also reported that Expedia Group hired senior executives from Apple and Verizon Media while undertaking a leadership and brand overhaul. The roundup directed readers to separate coverage, and the available information does not support expanding this item into a detailed personnel profile.

Crown Electrokinetics
Crown Electrokinetics appointed Eddie Kovalik as president and chief operating officer effective February 20, 2021. Kai Sato became co-president and chief marketing officer effective February 25. Both appointments are documented in the company’s SEC Form 8-K.

Prescryptive Health
Stacey Kinkead joined Prescryptive Health as chief customer officer. Her previous positions included chief product officer and chief operating officer at MultiScale, senior director of digital alliances and product at Providence, and CEO of online retailer Rivet & Cuff.
GeekWire also described Prescryptive as having raised $26 million during the preceding year. That figure is retained here as historical reporting from the roundup rather than as a current funding total.

Scale AI
Mark Valentine joined Scale AI as head of federal, according to GeekWire. He had spent six years at Microsoft, where he was general manager for national security, and was previously a U.S. Air Force commander.
Tractive
Andrew Bleiman became Tractive’s executive vice president of North America. His earlier roles included marketing strategy at Vulcan Inc. and general manager for North America at Tomofun, the company behind Furbo pet cameras.
GeekWire reported that Tractive announced a $35 million funding round led by Guidepost Growth Equity. Additional appointments included Guidepost general partner Chris Cavanagh and former Lynda.com president Andrew Wait joining the board, along with Martin Theissen becoming vice president of marketing.

What happened next?
Henry did not remain at Snap indefinitely. A Flexport announcement dated August 18, 2022, said she would join Flexport as chief human resources officer effective October 24, 2022, after serving as Snap’s CHRO from July 2021.
DataRobot later announced a separate leadership transition in July 2022: Dan Wright stepped down as CEO and Debanjan Saha became interim CEO. That announcement does not establish any connection between the change and Fletcher’s appointment or departure.
How to read this roundup
The moves were not all supported by the same level of documentation. Snap and DataRobot issued company announcements, and Crown’s appointments appear in an SEC filing. Several other personnel changes come from GeekWire’s May 2021 reporting. The list is therefore best understood as a curated snapshot of notable executive movement in and around the Pacific Northwest technology ecosystem, not a complete record of every regional hire or departure.
