On June 27, 2024, GeekWire reported a set of personnel changes across the Pacific Northwest technology community: Nimrod Vered joined Syndio as senior vice president of engineering, Chris Vonderhaar departed Google Cloud, and JPMorgan Chase’s newly named global CTO, Sri Shivananda, resigned from Seattle-based F5’s board. The roundup also covered appointments and leadership changes at other companies and nonprofits. These are historical reports, not confirmation of the individuals’ current roles.

The three headline moves

Nimrod Vered joined Syndio

GeekWire reported that Nimrod Vered became Syndio’s senior vice president of engineering. He had most recently been CTO at engineering-insights startup Uplevel and previously held engineering leadership roles at Zipwhip, Microsoft, VoloMetrix, and Cisco. He also held limited partner roles at Seattle venture firms Graham & Walker and Voyager Capital.

Syndio provides workplace pay-equity analysis and strategies intended to address disparities. At the time of the June 2024 report, the company had been founded in 2017 and had raised more than $83 million. GeekWire named Siemens, Sweetgreen, American Airlines, and Nordstrom among its customers at that time; those details are historical, not a current funding or customer update. The article characterized Vered’s motivation as bringing his professional expertise together with his commitment to people-focused and inclusive teams.

Chris Vonderhaar departed Google Cloud

Vonderhaar had served as Google Cloud’s vice president of demand and supply management and previously worked as an executive at Amazon Web Services. GeekWire said he had joined Google Cloud the year before. A Google spokesperson quoted in the report said Vonderhaar made a personal decision to leave and that the company wished him well.

The report did not identify his next role or connect his departure to a reorganization, performance issue, strategic shift, or another executive move. The departure alone does not establish a broader Google Cloud trend.

Sri Shivananda resigned from F5’s board

After being named global CTO of JPMorgan Chase, Shivananda resigned from the board of Seattle-based application-delivery company F5, according to GeekWire. These were separate roles: the reported change was his F5 board resignation, not a departure from JPMorgan or an executive departure from F5. The article did not give the resignation’s effective date or reason.

Other appointments and leadership changes

The June 27 roundup included the following additional moves. Titles and timing below reflect what GeekWire reported then; the article did not specify an effective date for each appointment.

Organization Reported move Relevant background or timing
Oncocyte Andrea James joined as CFO. She had most recently been chief communications officer at Axon and previously worked in investor relations at Tesla.
Coinme Robert Villaseñor joined as chief legal and compliance officer. His prior experience included MoneyGram International and Starbucks.
New Engen Henry Prevette joined as vice president of business development and partnerships. He previously worked at impact.com.
Camunda Kurt Petersen joined as senior vice president of customer success. His prior employers included UiPath, Sapient Consulting, Kofax, and Kapow Software.
EY Christian Tinder was promoted to lead EY’s Seattle market. He was to replace retiring leader Tim Tasker.
Ravel Philippa Carroll joined as chief product officer; Kaveh Goudarzian as vice president of product and engineering; and Chad Knowles as chief revenue officer. GeekWire described Ravel as a Seattle no-code orchestration startup formerly known as StratusCore.
First Tech Federal Credit Union Kalyan Rajamani joined as CTO. No prior role was specified in the roundup.
Urban Renaissance Group Anna Olson joined as vice president of human resources. No prior role was specified in the roundup.
Upaya Social Ventures AB Chakravarthy and Shruti Goel were scheduled to become co-CEOs. The change was scheduled for August 2024, after the roundup’s June 27 publication date.
Nintex Tommy Morgan joined as director of communications. No prior role was specified in the roundup.

What the 2024 report does—and does not—establish

The roundup is a record of reported hires, departures, promotions, and a planned nonprofit leadership transition, not evidence of a single regional hiring or turnover trend. It does not establish why Shivananda left F5’s board, the effective date of that change, or Vonderhaar’s next role. It also does not verify whether the reported appointments or company details remain current.
