The reported deadline to apply for TANCET 2025 was extended to February 26, 2025. That date has passed: Anna University held the exams in March and published the results notice on April 25, 2025, so applications for the 2025 cycle are closed.
What was the last date to apply for TANCET 2025?
Contemporaneous Hindustan Times coverage reported that Anna University extended the TANCET 2025 registration deadline to February 26, 2025. Indian Express had reported the original deadline as February 21. The extension date is supported here by that news coverage; the official materials cited below confirm the exam schedule and completed cycle, but do not include the extension announcement itself.
Registration was online only, according to Anna University’s 2025 information brochure. The reported application deadline is a historical date, not a current application window.
Can you still apply for TANCET 2025?
No. The 2025 application period is over, and the exam has already taken place. Anna University’s results notice dated April 25, 2025 confirms that TANCET and CEETA-PG 2025 results were declared. For a future cycle, use the current Anna University announcement rather than relying on 2025 dates; the current portal search result refers to the 2026 cycle.

Which exams and programmes did the 2025 dates cover?
TANCET and CEETA-PG were separate examination routes, not interchangeable names. Anna University’s 2025 brochure gives their programme coverage and test dates:
| Exam | Programmes covered | 2025 test date |
|---|---|---|
| TANCET | MBA and MCA | March 22, 2025 |
| CEETA-PG | M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch. and M.Plan. | March 23, 2025 |
The same brochure lists historical TANCET application fees of ₹500 for SC/SCA/ST candidates from Tamil Nadu and ₹1,000 for other candidates, for either MBA or MCA. These amounts apply to the 2025 cycle only and should not be used as fee guidance for another year.

Anna University’s April 25, 2025 results notice says the TANCET/CEETA-PG 2025 tests were conducted for 38,301 candidates at 40 examination centres in 15 cities across Tamil Nadu. That figure covers the two-exam cycle together; it is not a TANCET-only registration count.
