शुरू करने से पहले: कंपनी और invoice की जानकारी तैयार करें
आपके invoice पर कौन-सी जानकारी उपलब्ध होगी, यह केवल template पर निर्भर नहीं करता। कंपनी में GST लागू है तो पहले GST enable करें और कंपनी के registration details सेट करें। TallyHelp के अनुसार State और GSTIN/UIN जैसी जानकारी transactions और printed invoices में दिखाई जा सकती है। लागू GST rates और संबंधित masters भी सही तरह सेट करें। यह product setup का मार्गदर्शन है, पूरी कानूनी invoice checklist नहीं। TallyPrime में GST setup देखें।

TallyPrime में invoice template कैसे बदलें
- Sales invoice खोलें: जिस transaction का format बदलना है, उसे खोलें।
- Print controls पर जाएँ: Ctrl+P (Current) दबाएँ।
- Template बदलें: print screen में Ctrl+H (Change Template) चुनें।
- Fields चुनें: Add/Remove Field से आवश्यक जानकारी दिखाएँ या अनावश्यक fields हटाएँ। उदाहरण के लिए, bank या contact details शामिल की जा सकती हैं।
- Field की प्रस्तुति बदलें: Edit Fields Properties में उपलब्ध विकल्पों से title, bold, font, size, color या alignment बदलें। बदली हुई field को वापस मूल रूप में लाने के लिए documented reset control इस्तेमाल करें।
- Custom field जोड़ें, यदि ज़रूरत हो: कंपनी-स्तरीय जानकारी जैसे FSSAI या drug-license number, अथवा invoice/party-स्तरीय जानकारी जैसे carrier या agent name जोड़ने के लिए custom field विकल्प उपयुक्त हो सकता है। हर custom जानकारी हर invoice पर आवश्यक नहीं होती।
- Save और print करें: Ctrl+A से configuration save करें। print screen पर लौटकर output की settings देखें, I दबाकर preview करें और P दबाकर print करें।

Classic Format और customizable template में क्या अंतर है?
कौन-सा विकल्प चुनना है, यह इस बात पर निर्भर करता है कि आपको सिर्फ जानकारी दिखानी या छिपानी है, या invoice का दृश्य रूप भी बदलना है।

Tally FAQ, Printing in TallyPrime – FAQs, यह भी बताता है कि Template 7 – Tally Classic एक मिलते-जुलते customizable विकल्प के रूप में उपलब्ध है। Template चुनने से पहले अपने installed release और अपेक्षित output की पुष्टि करें; हर release में समान विकल्प मानकर न चलें।

- Fields को drag-and-drop नहीं कर सकते: FAQ के अनुसार template में field positions fixed हैं।
- Item table में सीधे custom field नहीं जोड़ सकते: custom field की ज़रूरत हो तो उसे उपलब्ध supported स्थानों और options के अनुसार रखें।
- Paper size template styling से अलग है: यह चुने हुए printer की configuration में तय होता है; Tally कोई एक सार्वभौमिक invoice-paper size निर्धारित नहीं करता।
- Hindi UI labels की पुष्टि नहीं है: आधिकारिक निर्देश English controls में हैं। इसलिए नीचे दिए control names English में हैं; आपके interface में labels अलग भाषा में दिख सकते हैं।

Print करने से पहले जाँचें
- Preview में company details, customer details, invoice number और चुनी हुई fields पढ़ने योग्य हैं।
- GST लागू होने पर उपलब्ध GST details और संबंधित information अपेक्षित रूप से दिख रही है।
- Printer configuration में सही printer और आपकी ज़रूरत के अनुरूप paper size चुना गया है।
- Preview ठीक दिखने के बाद ही print करें।
