What is SuperScissor?
SuperBrand Tools markets SuperScissor as a rechargeable electric cutting tool for home and craft use. The manufacturer describes a vibrating blade and says the tool can cut cardboard, plastic, fabric, leather, rubber, zip ties and thin aluminum. Those are product claims, not independently verified performance results. See the manufacturer’s product page.
What does the manufacturer claim it can cut?
The product page lists a 10,000 RPM vibrating blade, a detachable blade and a 3.6V lithium-ion battery. SuperBrand Tools claims more than three hours of continuous cutting per charge, a two-to-three-hour charging time and a cutting capacity of 6–8 mm depending on the material. These specifications and capacity claims come from the manufacturer; no controlled independent test establishes that the tool achieves them across the listed materials.
The help center says a USB cable is included and the tool has internal batteries. It says a compatible wall adapter is required, but does not clearly list one as included. Check the manufacturer’s help center.

What do customer reviews say?
Trustpilot’s SuperBrand Tools profile displayed 49 reviews and a 1.6 score when accessed. It includes both positive and sharply negative accounts, and Trustpilot notes that the company has not invited customers to review it and that reviews may not be representative. These are self-selected customer reports, not a controlled test or a reliable measure of how the tool will perform for every buyer. Read the Trustpilot profile.
One reviewer, Herb Stull, wrote on March 17, 2026: “The SuperBrand Tools Superscissor does not work, period. It cuts paper just fine, but it fails miserably when trying to cut even thin cardboard.” This is one person’s account; it does not establish that every unit will behave the same way.

The Better Business Bureau profile lists SuperBrand Tools as not accredited and gives it an F rating, which the profile says reflects failure to respond to 35 of 38 complaints. That business-profile information may matter when assessing the seller, but it does not prove or disprove SuperScissor’s cutting performance. See the BBB profile.
What should you check before buying?
- Your material and thickness: The manufacturer’s 6–8 mm figure is conditional on the material. The available evidence does not independently confirm how well the tool handles any specific material or thickness.
- Charging setup: A USB cable is described as included; check whether you have a compatible wall adapter.
- Return terms: The published policy says a return must be requested within 30 days of the order, the item must be unused and in its original packaging, a $4.95 restocking fee applies, and the customer pays return shipping. It excludes shipments outside the continental United States. A separate product landing page advertises a 90-day money-back guarantee. Because the pages differ, confirm the terms for the exact offer at checkout. Read the published returns policy.
- Replacement blades and accessories: The manufacturer describes replacement blades as separately available and offers a carry case. Confirm current stock, price and blade compatibility before relying on either option. Check the product listing.
Is SuperScissor worth buying?
The evidence supports a cautious verdict, not a definitive yes or no. SuperScissor is a real product with advertised specifications and mixed customer accounts, but its broad material claims remain unverified by controlled independent testing. If consistent cutting performance is essential, look for independent tests of the specific material and thickness you need, and compare the battery, blade-replacement options, safety features and return terms with any alternative. There is not enough comparable test evidence to say SuperScissor outperforms manual scissors or other electric scissors.
