YouTube’s Rules: What Loop Channels Can Do
YouTube’s policy on Super Chat applies equally to loop streams and live streams:
Allowed: Receiving Super Chat donations on any channel with monetization enabled, regardless of whether the stream is live or looped. YouTube does not distinguish between live and prerecorded content for Super Chat purposes.
Encouraged: YouTube’s guidelines explicitly encourage creators to enable Super Chat as a revenue stream. There is no penalty for relying on Super Chat as your primary income source.
No explicit endorsement requirement: Unlike ads (which require disclosure), Super Chat donations do not require you to acknowledge or thank the donor. If a viewer sends a Super Chat and you don’t respond, YouTube does not penalize you.

Cannot promise responses: Saying “Super Chat me and I’ll respond” is allowed (many live streamers do this). But for loop channels, there’s no one to respond anyway. Don’t imply a live response to a loop stream Super Chat. Viewers should understand the channel is automated.
Cannot solicit aggressively: Constant verbal or textual begging for Super Chat diminishes viewer experience and can trigger YouTube warnings. It’s acceptable to mention Super Chat availability in your Community Tab or channel description. In-stream obsession with it is discouraged.
Cannot use third-party payment systems: Super Chat is the official YouTube mechanism. Some creators use PayPal, Patreon, or Streamlabs to solicit donations instead. YouTube does not prohibit this, but mixing payment systems dilutes revenue and confuses viewers. Stick to Super Chat for simplicity.
