Stylers International Limited disclosed on December 1, 2025, that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) had issued it a Shariah Compliance Certificate. The company said the certificate recognizes compliance with criteria under the Shariah Governance Regulations 2023. Stylers described the news as potentially relevant to investor decisions, but the announcement does not establish that any fund has invested, that every Shariah-compliant fund will consider the shares eligible, or that the certification will affect returns.
What Stylers disclosed
In a material-information filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) dated December 1, 2025, Stylers said SECP had issued the company a Shariah Compliance Certificate. The filing refers to a copy of the certificate enclosed with the disclosure. The announcement is the basis for reporting the certificate; the precise issuance, expiry, review, and renewal terms are not established here. Read the PSX filing.
PSX describes Stylers International as a Pakistan-based listed company that manufactures and markets ready-made garments. Its company profile provides access to company disclosures. View Stylers’ PSX profile.
What the certification means—and what it does not
Stylers said the certificate recognizes that it meets criteria prescribed under Pakistan’s Shariah Governance Regulations 2023. That is the issuer’s description of the certificate; the filing alone does not provide enough detail to explain the precise criteria applied or the certificate’s continuing terms.

#1 Best Overall
The company characterized the disclosure as price-sensitive and said the recognition could matter to investor decision-making and enable investment from Shariah-compliant funds, institutions, and portfolios. This describes the issuer’s view of potential relevance, not evidence of investment flows or a decision by any particular fund. It is also not a forecast or guarantee of the shares’ performance.
How a company certificate differs from securities screening
A certificate for a company and a Shariah-compliant designation for a security are related but distinct matters. In a March 2026 release, SECP described a framework under the 2023 regulations for screening securities: a person other than an issuer that publicly declares securities Shariah-compliant must use an SECP-approved screening process. The release also discusses PSX’s collaboration for listed securities and approval of an independent provider. That securities-screening framework should not be treated as proof that Stylers’ shares have a separate screening designation or that a particular screening provider has cleared them. How to check Stylers’ current status
- Check the latest SECP register of Shariah-compliant securities. SECP’s register landing page is dated March 31, 2026, but that date alone does not confirm whether Stylers appears in the register or what status its entry may show. Open the SECP register page.
- Review Stylers’ latest company disclosures on PSX for updates about the certificate or other relevant information. Go to the company profile.
- If you are considering the shares, confirm how your fund, broker, or other relevant investment provider applies its own eligibility and screening rules. A company’s certificate announcement does not establish that every provider will reach the same conclusion.
