Why are other small-industry studies not substitutes?
A 1994 article by Javid Iqbal Khan concerns small-scale industry and employment in Pakistan, not the India-focused student project. It describes a single-equation model and says its 1976–1986 analysis covered only 25 industries because data for the remainder were unavailable. Its table reproduces Pakistan manufacturing employment counts for 1960–61, 1971–72, 1977–78, and 1982–83.
