In May 2024, Perth streetwear brand StreetX and Spudshed figure Tony Galati used social posts to tease a T-shirt collaboration. PerthNow reported that the shirts would be released on Saturday, 1 June 2024, alongside a planned giveaway valued at A$30,000. The report announced the plan; it did not confirm what happened at the event.
How the StreetX–Spudshed collaboration was announced
PerthNow published its report on 27 May 2024, after Instagram posts prompted speculation about a partnership. One post carried the caption “Should we?” and showed Tony Galati beside StreetX frontman Daniel Bradshaw. They wore matching outfits echoing Galati’s familiar shorts-and-sleeveless-vest look. The reveal was that they planned to release T-shirts. PerthNow’s report described the posts and announcement.
What was announced for 1 June 2024
Galati said the team had not made sleeveless T-shirts and planned to give away A$30,000 worth of shirts instead of spending money on marketing. He invited people to find them on Saturday, 1 June 2024. That figure was the announced value of the giveaway, not a confirmed amount distributed. PerthNow also described a later video in which Galati gave Bradshaw and his team a humorous tour of a Spudshed store. Its report does not establish whether the giveaway or event took place as planned or what the outcome was.
Which shirts were in the collection
StreetX’s official Spud King Collection page describes two designs: a Spud King Tee in white and black colourways, and a black fruit sticker tee. The page describes the collection as a limited release available for 72 hours. At the time reflected on the product page, the Spud King Tee was listed at A$69.99 and marked sold out; stock and prices can change. The available description does not establish details such as fabric, fit, sizing, or the fruit sticker tee’s price or stock.
