These are news catalysts, not predictions: a watchlist does not establish that a share will rise or amount to an investment recommendation. One correction to the supplied title is important: the reported JSW catalyst is for JSW Cement, not JSW Steel.
Market context: October 6 close
The Sensex closed at 73,067.81 on October 6, up 685.34 points (0.95%), while the Nifty closed at 22,776.10, up 220.35 points (0.98%), according to Financial Express. These are the previous session’s closing figures, not October 7 returns.
Quarterly operating updates
Titan: consumer-business growth and store additions
Titan reported 25% year-on-year growth in its consumer businesses for Q2 FY27, with domestic business growth of 22% and international growth of 97%. It added 78 stores, taking its total retail network to 3,758 as of September 30. The figures were reported by NDTV Profit and also covered by ET Now and Financial Express. These are company-reported business updates, not a share-price forecast.
Utkarsh Small Finance Bank: disbursements, deposits and loan book
NDTV Profit reported that Utkarsh Small Finance Bank’s Q2 FY27 disbursements totalled ₹3,525 crore, up 54.9% year on year. Deposits were ₹23,869 crore, up 6.6%; CASA deposits were ₹5,121 crore, up 14.3%; and the gross loan portfolio was ₹20,063 crore, up 7.5%. These operating measures describe different parts of the bank’s business and should not be read as a single measure of profitability.

Vedanta Aluminium
ET Now included Vedanta Aluminium among the stocks in focus after a Q2 production update, but its roundup did not provide a production figure. The update is therefore a catalyst to check in the company’s own disclosures rather than a basis for quoting an unverified number.
Investment, expansion and capacity
Godrej Consumer Products: Kendal facility begins first phase
Godrej Consumer Products’ Indonesian subsidiary opened the first phase of a manufacturing facility in the Kendal Special Economic Zone. That phase is dedicated to household insecticides. Upstox reported an overall investment of approximately ₹250 crore (IDR 500 billion) and a 2.5-hectare first phase; these figures refer to the reported facility investment and phase, not a stated annual production capacity. HCL Group: planned Lucknow expansion
HCL Group announced a planned ₹500 crore expansion of HCL IT City in Lucknow, with up to 9.5 lakh square feet and capacity for 4,500 technology professionals, according to Upstox and NDTV Profit. This is a group-announced plan; the reports do not establish that the expansion is complete or specify the funding arrangement. HCLTech appears in the watchlists, but the Lucknow announcement is attributed to HCL Group.
JSW Cement: Nagaur grinding unit
NDTV Profit reported that JSW Cement’s 1 MTPA grinding unit at Nagaur raised its total grinding capacity to 25.1 MTPA. This is the JSW-related trigger in the October 7 reports. It concerns JSW Cement, a distinct company from JSW Steel; the cited coverage does not establish a corresponding JSW Steel catalyst.

Mphasis: Social Security Scotland collaboration extension

Ola Electric: verify the latest board filing
NDTV Profit reported that Ola Electric’s board was due to meet on October 7 to consider a rights issue of up to ₹1,000 crore. However, the company’s official announcements page lists a cancellation notice for an October 5 meeting and a September 28 rights-issue board outcome. Those entries do not confirm that an October 7 meeting occurred or establish the outcome of the proposal described in the roundup. Check the latest exchange filing before treating the meeting or financing proposal as current.
Banks, insurers and rate-sensitive shares
Financial Express said the RBI policy decision could affect banks, insurers and other rate-sensitive shares. That is the publisher’s outlook ahead of the decision, not a policy result or a quantified forecast. The roundup did not specify a particular bank or insurer catalyst.
Quick Recap
How to use this watchlist
- Separate completed updates from plans. Titan’s reported quarter figures, the opening of the Kendal facility’s first phase and the Nagaur unit’s reported capacity addition differ from HCL Group’s planned expansion, NTPC’s planned procurement and the Blue Dart–NCRTC exploratory agreement.
- Check the original company disclosure for material developments. Same-day lists are publisher selections, and the names vary across outlets; they are not a definitive market consensus.
- Do not infer a return from a catalyst. The cited coverage supplies no substantiated price targets for these names, and a business update alone does not show how a stock will trade.
