The reports use different appearance totals; neither figure should be silently substituted for the other.

What Challinor said about the later reunion
When Barry returned for a third Stockport loan in February 2026, Challinor described the signing as a possibility. BBC Sport quoted him saying: “Whether Louie plays a massive part, a small part or even no part, the desire for all parties to reunite him back with the football club was unanimous.” The report also noted Barry was returning from a knee injury that had required surgery, with the medical teams to determine his readiness to play.
