The 40-ounce tumbler launched at Starbucks locations inside Target in the United States. That was the company’s stated plan at launch—not confirmation of stock or resale availability today.

Did Starbucks say it would be restocked?
No. In a statement relayed by Yahoo News, a Starbucks spokesperson said: “We are seeing an enthusiastic response to the Starbucks x Stanley Quencher, and many stores have sold out. It will not be restocked.” Yahoo News reported the statement. It was a January 2024 announcement about the limited release; it does not establish whether the cup later returned or whether any store has stock now.
What happened at Target stores?
Contemporary coverage described disorderly scenes at multiple Target locations as shoppers sought the cup. That reporting does not show that every store had an incident or provide a comprehensive count of incidents. CBS News covered the scenes.

What the announcement does—and doesn’t—tell you
- Established: Starbucks said many stores had sold out and the limited-edition tumbler would not be restocked, according to its spokesperson’s statement reported in January 2024.
- Not established: Current inventory, a later return of the product, or present-day resale prices. The announcement is not a live stock check.
Starbucks also announced on January 3, 2024, that customers could use a clean personal cup at company-operated and participating licensed stores in the United States and Canada, including for café, drive-through, and mobile-app orders. That was contemporaneous policy news; Starbucks did not say it caused demand for the Stanley collaboration. Starbucks’ announcement explains the personal-cup policy.
