What happened on opening day
PerthNow’s Zach Margolius reported that the Piara Waters store opened on Thursday morning, 24 October 2024. The article said cars had begun queuing by 4:30 a.m., that traffic was blocked in the area, and that customers had travelled from as far away as Rockingham. The report also quoted Starbucks Australia CEO Chris Garlick on the company’s long-running interest in the state. The words reproduced in the article are “keeping an eye on Western Australia for a long time”; read them in the full report for their sentence context.
Where the Piara Waters Starbucks is
The store is at 12 Erade Drive, Piara Waters WA 6112, in Piara Village. Starbucks Australia’s Piara Waters store listing says it is about a two-minute walk from the Nicholson Rd Before Warton Rd bus stop on route 519. For drivers, the listing describes access from Warton Road near the roundabout, car parking and a drive-through.
