The Staff Selection Commission’s official notice set June 26, 2025, at 23:00 hours as the deadline for submitting an online application. The application period ran from June 6 through June 26, 2025. The Press Information Bureau’s contemporaneous release also confirmed the June 26 cutoff.
The notice separately allowed online fee payment until June 27, 2025, at 23:00 hours, and corrections to submitted forms from July 1 to 2, 2025, until 23:00 hours. Neither date extended the application deadline: the form itself had to be submitted by June 26.
Can you still apply for the 2025 recruitment?

What was the SSC Stenographer 2025 notice for?
The open competitive examination was for direct recruitment to Stenographer Grade C (Group B, non-gazetted) and Grade D (Group C) posts in Government of India ministries, departments, organizations, attached and subordinate offices, and statutory bodies in states and union territories. SSC’s notice states: “Only those candidates who have skills in stenography are eligible to apply.”
The notice originally scheduled the Computer Based Examination for August 6–11, 2025. SSC later published a result write-up and, by October 7, 2026, a marks-upload notice for the Computer Based Examination and Skill Test. These notices establish that later examination-stage activity took place; they do not, by themselves, establish the result or appointment status of every individual candidate.
