SSC JE 2024 registration closed at 23:00 on 18 April 2024; the application window is not open today. The later fee-payment deadline did not give applicants extra time to submit a form. SSC JE 2024 application, fee and correction deadlines
The Staff Selection Commission’s Junior Engineer Examination 2024 notice set three separate cutoffs:

The notice labels the application cutoff “Last date and time for receipt of online applications.” Because that deadline came before the fee deadline, the extra day was only for fee payment; it did not keep registration open.
What SSC JE 2024 recruited for
The 2024 examination was an open competitive recruitment for Junior Engineer posts in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines in Government of India organizations and offices. SSC classified the posts as Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial, Level 6, with a pay matrix of Rs 35,400–112,400, as stated in the Commission’s 2024 notice.

Is SSC JE registration open today?
No—not for the 2024 cycle. The SSC homepage, accessed on 8 October 2026, shows a later JE cycle, but the 2024 dates above do not establish whether applications for any current cycle are open. Check the latest cycle-specific notice at ssc.gov.in for its application dates and instructions; do not rely on an old “apply now” message.
SSC JE 2024 exam schedule was also historical
The Commission’s 2024–25 calendar listed Paper-I for 5–7 June 2024. An SSC schedule notice dated 8 April 2024 revised the earlier 4–6 June dates to 5–7 June. These dates refer only to the 2024 examination, not a current schedule.

The 2024 notice listed 180 030 930 63 as a help line for difficulty filling in the online form. The notice does not establish whether that number remains active today, so use current contact details in the relevant SSC notice for present-day assistance.
