SSC said exam-city details would be available 10 days before each candidate’s examination shift and the admission certificate—commonly called the admit card—four days before that shift. So January 31 was not a universal release date for every candidate’s admit card.
Has the SSC GD city slip been released?
The report matching the headline was published on 26 January 2025. By that point, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had issued a notice describing when candidates could view their city details. Those 2025 dates have passed; candidates checking a later cycle should use the current SSC notice and candidate login rather than rely on the old January 31 headline.
SSC’s notice dated 25 January 2025 set a rolling schedule based on each candidate’s allotted shift. It said city details would be available 10 days before the particular examination shift. For an examination on 10 February 2025, SSC’s example gave 1 February as the city-detail date.
When was the SSC GD 2025 admit card available?
SSC called the document the “Admission Certificate cum Commission Copy.” The 2025 notice said it would be available to download four days before the candidate’s particular examination shift. In SSC’s example, a candidate scheduled for 10 February 2025 could download it from 6 February.

| Item | SSC’s 2025 timing | SSC’s example for a 10 February shift |
|---|---|---|
| Exam-city details | 10 days before the particular shift | 1 February 2025 |
| Admission certificate (admit card) | 4 days before the particular shift | 6 February 2025 |
The January 31 date in the contemporary headline should not be read as an official promise that every candidate’s admit card would be released that day. The controlling date was tied to the candidate’s own shift.
How to check your exam city or download the admission certificate
- Open the official SSC website and check the latest notice for the relevant recruitment cycle and examination stage.
- Use the designated SSC candidate login module identified in that notice. Check the scheduled examination date and shift, then view the city details or download the admission certificate when its availability window begins.
- For a computer-based examination, follow SSC Headquarters or the relevant SSC regional office if you need candidate-login or certificate information. Avoid relying on third-party download pages.
SSC’s examination notice says computer-based examination admission certificates are provided online and are not sent by post. Keep a printout for the examination hall and an additional copy for future reference. SSC does not prescribe a paper size, brand or printer; a print shop is an option if you do not have a printer.
Which agency handles later SSC GD stages?
The computer-based examination certificate is handled through SSC and its regional offices. For later stages—including PET/PST, medical examination and document verification—the examination notice identifies CRPF as the source for the relevant certificates. Check the notice for your stage and use the responsible agency’s official website.

Release timings can change between recruitment cycles. In a separate notice dated 22 May 2026, SSC revised an examination scheduled for 28 May to 27 May 2026 and said affected candidates’ admit cards would be available two or three days in advance. That example is not a schedule for the 2025 examination; it shows why candidates should follow the latest notice for their own cycle.
