If you are looking for the SSB Head Constable result 2024, check the post and result stage before relying on the headline. Scroll’s report describes a provisional result for Head Constable (Communication)-2023—not an independently confirmed final result for a 2024 recruitment. Candidates should verify their status against notices and candidate lists on the official SSB recruitment portal.

What the reported result actually covers

Scroll’s headline calls this the “SSB Head Constable recruitment 2024 final result,” but its article body says SSB announced a provisional result for Head Constable (Communication). The checking instructions in that same article refer to “Declaration of final result for provisional selection candidates for the post of Head Constable(Communication)-2023.” The post and recruitment year identified in the instructions are therefore Communication-2023, while the result stage described in the article is provisional.

Scroll reports that 578 candidates were selected for the provisional Communication result. That figure is Scroll’s report; the candidate list was not independently verified here. The article’s use of “final” in the notice title does not, by itself, establish that a candidate has completed every selection or appointment step.

How to check the SSB Head Constable result

  1. Open the official SSB recruitment portal.
  2. Go to the latest notices or recruitment updates and look for the notice and candidate list for Head Constable (Communication)-2023. Scroll’s article directs candidates to the latest-news area and identifies a notice about final result for provisional selection candidates; its direct attachment was not confirmed in the available official listing.
  3. Open the notice or result list published on the official portal. Check the post, recruitment year, result stage, and any instructions or conditions in the notice.
  4. Search the candidate list using the identifier requested by the official notice, then follow the notice’s directions if you need to confirm what provisional selection means for your next step.

Do not treat an old direct link or a search-result headline as proof of current status. Start from the official portal and use the notice and candidate list available there.

Why the year and result stage matter

The SSB notice index includes separate Head Constable Electrician/Tradesman notices dated 25 and 27 November 2024, as well as a 2025 notice concerning six suspected candidates for Head Constable Communication-2023. Those are distinct notices and do not establish the exact result attachment described by Scroll. The official index is useful for checking post and year, but the listing reviewed does not independently confirm the Communication result PDF or its publication date.

Accordingly, “SSB Head Constable result 2024” may lead to a report whose own instructions concern the 2023 Communication recruitment. Confirm the post and recruitment year on the official notice before deciding that a result applies to you.

What is—and is not—confirmed

  • Reported by Scroll: a provisional Head Constable (Communication) result and 578 candidates selected for provisional selection.
  • Not independently established by the official index reviewed: the exact result attachment referred to by Scroll, its publication date, or a final candidate-specific status.
  • Not established in the available notice listing: selection rates, vacancies, cutoffs, or marks for this specific result.

For an individual result, rely on the official SSB notice and candidate list rather than inferring selection from the headline or from a report’s summary.
