It ultimately opened in November 2025. The store is at 89 Graeme Street, Hannans, and Spudshed lists it as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
When did Spudshed open in Kalgoorlie?
Spudshed owner Tony Galati announced the planned expansion on social media, as reported by PerthNow on 4 May 2025. At the time, Galati forecast the store would open within two to three months. That was an estimate, not the opening date: the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) later recorded that the Kalgoorlie store opened in November 2025. Spudshed described it at launch as its nineteenth store in Western Australia.
Galati called the chain’s prices “crazy cheap” in the announcement reported by PerthNow. That phrase describes Spudshed’s positioning; the available sources do not establish that its prices are lower than competitors’ in a comparable grocery-basket test.
Where is the Kalgoorlie Spudshed?
Spudshed lists the store at 89 Graeme Street, Hannans, Western Australia 6430. Its official store page lists 24/7 opening and offers online shopping, delivery and click-and-collect. These details can change, so check the official Kalgoorlie store page before travelling or placing an order.

What does the opening mean for supermarket choice?
In a June 2026 summary, the ACCC described Kalgoorlie-Boulder as a city of around 30,000 people in Western Australia’s Goldfields, about 600 kilometres east of Perth. It counted six local supermarkets: four full-line stores operated by Coles, Woolworths, Spudshed and O’Connor Fresh IGA, plus Hannans FoodWorks and IGA Lionel St, which it classed as smaller-format supermarkets.
The ACCC’s 30 June 2026 decision concerned a separate proposal: Coles’s planned second supermarket in Kalgoorlie. The regulator determined that the proposal was likely to substantially lessen competition and must not proceed. That decision was about the proposed Coles acquisition and its expected effects on the local market, not Spudshed’s opening.
