Spotify announced pricing updates on January 15, 2026, for subscribers in the U.S., Estonia and Latvia. The figures below are U.S. monthly prices reported alongside the announcement; Spotify directs subscribers to local plan pages for current market prices. Your price may differ by country, plan or billing route. Spotify’s announcement says affected subscribers would receive an explanatory email over the following month.

Is Spotify still worth it after the price increase?
That is a budget and usage decision, not something the price announcement can settle for you. Compare the new monthly cost with how often you listen, the features you rely on and the cost of alternatives available in your market. For a shared plan, compare the total cost with the number of eligible people who would use it—not just the plan’s headline price.
Spotify says occasional price updates reflect the value it delivers, help it continue offering the service and support its ability to benefit artists. That is Spotify’s stated rationale, not an independent assessment of the plan’s value. At its May 21, 2026 Investor Day, co-CEOs Alex Norström and Gustav Söderström said, “We’ve raised prices multiple times with minimal churn because users see the value and stick around.” That is the company’s description of its pricing history, not a published churn result for this particular January increase. Spotify’s Investor Day remarks do not establish how many subscribers cancelled because of this price change.
