A January 2025 schedule report listed 12 planned Spirit Airlines route additions for Spring 2025—not more than two dozen. Most were resumptions, and the report does not prove every flight operated. Separate airport announcements cover four Pensacola routes for Spring 2025 and four Tampa routes for Spring 2024; those announcements concern different years and cannot be combined to support the larger headline count.

Four Spring 2025 routes announced for Pensacola
Pensacola International Airport’s January 9, 2025 announcement named four seasonal Spirit routes. It described Chicago, Detroit and Nashville as new service and Dallas/Fort Worth as resuming service. The airport’s notice and AeroRoutes’ schedule report overlap on three routes, so they are corroborating descriptions of routes—not eight distinct additions.

What Spirit’s 2026 spring-break figures mean
For context, Spirit’s February 9, 2026 release said it was scheduled to operate nearly 10,000 flights during the peak spring-break period of March 12–30, 2026. That is a planned-schedule figure, not an independently verified count of flights flown.
