November 2025 Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures settled at $10.22 per bushel on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, up 4¼ cents for the session. This is a historical settlement, not a current price or a quote for every farmer’s local market.

What the October 7 soybean market did

The November 2025 CBOT soybean contract closed at $10.22 per bushel, a gain of 4¼ cents. Agriculture.com, Barchart and Reuters all reported the same settlement and daily change: Agriculture.com, Barchart and Reuters, republished by Farmtario.

How the other soybean markets moved

The rise in the November futures contract was not a uniform move across the soybean complex. Barchart reported these October 7 figures:

Market October 7, 2025 move Reported level
November 2025 CBOT soybeans Up 4¼ cents $10.22 per bushel, settlement
Nearby soybean futures contracts Up 2 to 4¼ cents Specific settlements not stated in Barchart’s summary
National average cash bean price Up 4¼ cents $9.44¼ per bushel
Nearby soybean meal futures Up 10 cents Specific settlement not stated in Barchart’s summary
Other soybean meal contracts Down 20 to 80 cents Specific settlements not stated in Barchart’s summary
Soybean oil futures Up 38 to 74 points Specific settlements not stated in Barchart’s summary

Cash and futures prices are different kinds of quotes. The national average cash figure is not a local elevator bid, and the soybean meal and oil moves do not describe the price of soybean futures themselves. These related-market figures were reported by Barchart on October 7, 2025.

  • Easy Direct Sow: edamame seeds for planting outdoors need 1" depth and 12" spacing, no trellis required; bush habit suits containers or raised beds, making veggie seeds ideal for small spaces.
  • Disease-Smart Cultivation: edamame seeds to plant resist common pests when grown in full sun and evenly moist soil; gardening kit growers mulch to conserve water and pick bright green pods before they yellow.

Why soybean futures rose that day

Reuters described the gain as a rebound after two sessions of losses, with technical and seasonal buying among the factors supporting prices. Traders were also watching U.S. harvest progress, planting in Brazil, U.S.-China trade negotiations and a proposed U.S. farmer aid package. The reporting did not quantify how much any one factor contributed, so these are contemporaneous market considerations rather than a measured explanation for the full 4¼-cent move.

What the settlement means for a farmer or household budget

A futures settlement is a benchmark for a specific contract and session; it does not determine what an individual farmer can receive locally. A local cash bid can differ from futures, and the cited market reports do not provide farm-specific basis, contract terms or a grower’s existing position. For a marketing decision, the relevant local bid and the producer’s own costs and commitments matter alongside the futures quote.

A great addition to feed mixes for cowpeas and other legumes.
  • ECONOMIC AND NUTRITIONAL: As the most economically important bean globally, soybeans provide essential vegetable protein for millions and are key ingredients in hundreds of chemical products.
