Smith said the new warehouse measured 15,000 square feet—more than twice the space previously used by its Hong Kong operations. These are historical details from company announcements, not confirmation of Smith’s current locations.
What moved, and when?
Smith announced the relocation on August 21, 2016, and its September 26 follow-up said the move was completed on August 29. The company split the hub between a trading office and a separate operations facility:
- Trading office: Suites 2607–10, Tower Two, Times Square, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
- Operations hub and warehouse: 1/F, Continental Electric Industrial Building, 17 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Smith said it had opened its Hong Kong office in 1997 and that the office served as its regional base for Asia. That describes the company’s stated role for the office at the time, not its present organization. Smith’s August 2016 announcement and September 2016 follow-up give the relocation details.
What did the new warehouse enable?
Smith described the warehouse as 15,000 square feet (1,393.54 square meters), more than double the space its Hong Kong operations had previously used. The company said the added capacity was intended to support shipping, inventory management, logistics programs, anti-counterfeit work and functional testing.

In its follow-up, Smith also named vendor-managed inventory (VMI), consignment and rework as programs requiring additional space and staff. Those statements describe the capabilities Smith intended the facility to support; the announcements do not provide independent measurements of customer outcomes or business results. Kent Pang, then Smith’s Director of Sales, South Asia, said the Hong Kong hub helped the company provide localized service to partners across Asia.
How does the 2016 relocation differ from later Hong Kong changes?
Smith announced additional, distinct changes in Hong Kong in 2021 and 2022. They should not be conflated with the 2016 move:

Are the 2016 addresses still current?
The 2016 announcements establish where Smith said its trading office and operations hub moved at that time. They do not establish that Smith still occupies either address. The later announcements document separate changes, but they do not confirm the current occupancy of the 2016 facilities. For present locations or service availability, consult Smith’s current contact information rather than relying on these historical addresses.
