Local reporting described the location as planned to open in November, but that was a forecast—not confirmation that it opened.
What restaurant arrived by crane?
The unit belongs to Smalls Sliders, a cheeseburger-slider chain. The Palm Beach Post reported that a crane placed the restaurant at the Southern Boulevard site on Sept. 4, 2026. The story described the unit as part of the chain’s planned expansion into Palm Beach County.

The newspaper reported that Smalls Sliders launched in 2019 and had more than 200 locations open or in development as of its Oct. 6, 2026, report. That figure combines operating restaurants with locations still being developed.
Where is the West Palm Beach location?
The reported address is 8821 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. The Sept. 11 local report identified it as the first of five planned Palm Beach County locations being brought by local franchisee Todd Severson.

When is it expected to open?
A Sept. 11 report gave November 2026 as the planned opening month. That report predates the target month, and the Oct. 6 story about the crane placement did not confirm that the restaurant had opened. Its current operating status and hours are therefore not established by those reports; check a current company or local listing before making a trip.
What is a Smalls Sliders “Can”?
Smalls Sliders calls its compact restaurant format a “Can.” The units are manufactured off-site and delivered for installation, rather than built entirely on the restaurant site. The Palm Beach Post reported the company’s claim that a Can can go from truck to fully assembled restaurant in about 27 minutes. That is the company’s stated assembly time, not an independently verified measurement of the full process of building and opening a restaurant.

The chain calls public celebrations around placing its units “Can Drops.” The crane arrival in West Palm Beach was one such placement event.
