Whether it can offer its games and prizes depends on the laws and regulatory actions in a player’s jurisdiction. In a February 4, 2026 letter, the Illinois Gaming Board said Sixty6 was offering Illinois users games with chances to win cash, gift cards, and other prizes without state authorization, and demanded that it block Illinois residents or discontinue those prize offerings. The available materials do not establish whether Sixty6 complied or what its current Illinois access status is.
Is Sixty6 legal?
There is no basis here for a blanket answer that Sixty6 is legal throughout the United States or illegal everywhere. The clearest official action in the available record is specific to Illinois: the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) wrote to Sixty6 on February 4, 2026, saying it had observed the service offering Illinois users games with chances to win cash, gift cards, and other prizes. The board said Sixty66 had not been licensed or authorized for online gambling activity and demanded that it block Illinois residents or stop offering prizes to them. The letter states the regulator’s position and demand; it is not a nationwide ruling and does not show what happened afterward. Illinois Gaming Board
Sixty6 presents a different characterization in its terms, which say, “We are not a casino and we do not offer gambling.” That statement is the operator’s position, not an independent determination of how the service is treated under each state’s law. Its terms also select North Carolina law for the contractual relationship and include binding arbitration and class-action waiver provisions; those contract terms do not resolve whether a regulator considers the service lawful in a particular state. Sixty6 Terms
Can you play Sixty6 in your state?
Sixty6’s terms say users must be at least 21, or older if the applicable local legal age is higher, and prohibit access from places where the service is prohibited or restricted. A current, reliable state-by-state availability list is not established in the available official materials. The terms reserve the operator’s right to change them, and the official sweepstakes rules could not be verified here. Check Sixty6’s current access restrictions and the laws that apply where you live before signing up or playing.

For Illinois specifically, the IGB’s February 4, 2026 letter said the board had neither licensed nor authorized Sixty6 to conduct online gambling there. The letter demanded that the company block Illinois residents or discontinue the prize offerings. It does not establish whether access was later blocked, whether the offerings changed, or whether the board took further action. Illinois Gaming Board
Is Sixty6 a real-money casino?
Sixty6 describes its service as free-to-play entertainment. Its terms say no purchase is required to play and that users may optionally buy Gold Coins. The terms characterize Gold Coins as in-platform entertainment currency that cannot be treated as money or exchanged for value. These are Sixty6’s stated terms; they do not, by themselves, settle how a regulator or court would classify the overall service, especially where prizes are offered. Sixty6 Terms

- Versatile Poker Chips - Each chip has denominations in the center and around the chip. Wow all your friends with the best looking poker chips around. Show off your poker chip shuffling and flipping skills to intimidate the other players!
The IGB’s letter describes a separate concern: it said Illinois users had opportunities to win cash, gift cards, and other prizes through games on the service. That regulator account and Sixty66’s description of Gold Coins should be read as distinct claims, not collapsed into a simple label of “real-money casino” or “just a game.” The verified materials do not establish current redemption rules, thresholds, or eligibility conditions, so they are not enough to tell a player definitively what prizes can currently be redeemed or how.
