A separate Forbes profile result put the real-time estimate at $16.5 billion on October 3, while Bloomberg estimated $11.4 billion as of May 6. These are publisher estimates, not audited totals, and they differ because the underlying assets and valuation methods are not fully public.
What is Shahid Khan’s estimated net worth?
The most useful answer is a dated estimate, not a single supposedly exact figure. Forbes’ profile result reported $16.3 billion on October 2, 2026, and another Forbes result showed $16.5 billion on October 3. Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index listed $11.4 billion as of May 6, 2026. The estimates are snapshots produced by different publishers; the available information does not provide enough comparable calculation detail to reconcile them precisely.

How did Shahid Khan make his money?
Khan’s fortune is reported to come mainly from Flex-N-Gate, the closely held automotive-parts manufacturer he owns, alongside his sports-team interests. Because Flex-N-Gate is private, its value cannot be read directly from a public share price. Bloomberg says it estimates the company using average enterprise-value-to-EBITDA and enterprise-value-to-sales multiples for five publicly traded automotive suppliers: Valeo, Lear, Visteon, Aptiv, and BorgWarner.
For its sports-asset estimates, Bloomberg says it uses a reported August 2025 Sportico valuation for the Jacksonville Jaguars and 2024 financial results plus comparable football clubs for Fulham. Bloomberg also estimates cash holdings from purchases and sales of closely held assets dating back to 2010. Its valuation is therefore a model, not a public accounting of all of Khan’s assets and liabilities.

Flex-N-Gate’s reported scale
A University of Illinois Senate nomination document from 2024–25 described Flex-N-Gate as generating about $8 billion in annual revenue and employing 26,000 people around the world. Those figures are a dated institutional description, not current audited company data.
Why do the published estimates differ?
Private-company value, sports-franchise value, estimated cash, liabilities, and the timing of updates can all affect a published total. Bloomberg explains its comparable-company approach for Flex-N-Gate and identifies different valuation inputs for the teams. The surfaced Forbes results do not provide an equally detailed, comparable breakdown. Forbes’ two cited figures also changed by $0.2 billion between October 2 and October 3, while Bloomberg’s May estimate is substantially lower.
Rank #2
For that reason, do not treat the gap as evidence that one publisher has verified Khan’s exact finances. His detailed ownership, liabilities, cash, and the assumptions used to value private assets are not fully available in these sources.

Yes. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ official biography says NFL owners unanimously approved Khan’s purchase of the team on December 14, 2011. Bloomberg reports that he bought the Jaguars for $770 million. Bloomberg also reports that he acquired Fulham FC in 2013 for $300 million. Those are historical reported purchase prices, not current team values or amounts that can be added directly to a current net-worth estimate.

The Jaguars biography also says Khan began working at Flex-N-Gate while a student, started Bumper Works in 1978, and later purchased his former employer.
