Where was Sephora’s first WA store?
The store joined Karrinyup Shopping Centre’s Fashion Loop in Perth. AMP Capital described Sephora as a major international brand joining the redeveloped centre in its January 2021 announcement. Contemporary coverage from Broadsheet Perth reported the opening date as Thursday, 7 October 2021.
When was the store announced, and when did it open?
These were separate milestones: AMP Capital said in January 2021 that Sephora would arrive at Karrinyup toward the end of that year; Broadsheet later reported the 7 October opening. The announcement is not itself evidence of the opening date.
What was the $800 million Karrinyup redevelopment?
AMP Capital said the redevelopment began in November 2018 and carried a reported value of $800 million. In its 2018 project announcement, the company said it planned to expand the centre from 59,874 square metres to 109,000 square metres. In January 2021, it described a completed centre of approximately 290 stores.

Those figures describe the developer’s announced project scope and plans; they are not independently verified completion measurements. The redevelopment announcement also estimated approximately 2,500 construction jobs and a further 2,500 retail, support and management jobs after completion. These were AMP Capital forecasts, not independently measured job outcomes.
What services were reported at the store around opening?
Broadsheet’s opening-era coverage described a six-seater beauty studio, foundation matching, makeup tutorials and skincare consultations. That report documents services around the 2021 opening, not a current service menu. The sources cited here do not establish whether the store is operating today or which services it currently offers.
