SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS’ latest annual results, released May 12, 2026, cover the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026 (FY2026/3). Sega reported 4.87 million full-game units for Sonic, 2.34 million for Persona, and 3.22 million for the Like a Dragon series. These are unit-sales figures, not franchise revenue or profit.
What Sega reported for FY2026/3
The annual results show higher net sales but lower profits than in FY2025/3. Sega attributed its net loss to impairment losses related to Rovio and Stakelogic. The company also described full-game sales, some new free-to-play titles, and Rovio performance as soft. SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS’ FY2026/3 results presentation reports the following consolidated figures:
| Measure | FY2026/3 result |
|---|---|
| Net sales | ¥487.542 billion |
| Operating income | ¥47.128 billion |
| Ordinary income | ¥54.2 billion |
| Adjusted EBITDA | ¥16.6 billion |
| Profit (loss) attributable to owners of the parent | ¥5.7 billion loss |
The company’s loss is a consolidated result; Sega did not report it as a loss generated by any one of these game franchises.
Full-game unit sales for the three franchises
Sega’s FY2026/3 appendix reports full-game units by major IP. It lists the Like a Dragon series as including Judgment. The FY2026/3 results materials also state that historical quarterly figures were revised because of calculation errors, so the annual comparison below uses the final full-year totals rather than adding earlier quarterly releases.

What Sega highlighted in the prior fiscal year
In its FY2025/3 results commentary, Sega described Sonic X Shadow Generations, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii as titles that achieved steady sales. It also said Sonic character licensing revenue had grown steadily, supported by games and animation. The presentation characterized Sonic as contributing to increased game and character-licensing revenue and helping boost operating income in the Entertainment Contents Business. These are FY2025/3 comments, not a franchise-level earnings breakdown for FY2026/3. Sega’s FY2025/3 results presentation is an English translation; the company says the Japanese original prevails if the versions differ.
