Scott Disick reportedly said he paid about $95,000 for a Richard Mille Rafael Nadal watch and later accepted a dealer’s $400,000 offer while considering a speedboat in Miami. Those figures come from Disick’s recollection in an interview anecdote reported by People; they are not an independently documented sale or appraisal. The watch’s exact model is also unknown, so the reported offer cannot establish that it sold “far above value.”

People reported on February 20, 2026, that Disick recounted buying a Richard Mille “Nadal” watch for about $95,000. While in Miami to look at speedboats, he said a New York watch dealer offered $400,000 for it. Disick recalled accepting because the money would go toward the boat. He described the dealer saying, “If you want, I’ll give you $400,000 for that,” and said his response was, “This is unbelievable.”
People’s account is a reported interview anecdote, not a transaction record. The quoted offer is the dealer’s words as recalled by Disick, not a direct statement from the dealer. Disick said he accepted, but the available coverage does not independently verify that the sale was completed or document its terms.
Does the $400,000 offer prove the watch was worth that much?
No. The $400,000 figure is a reported offer Disick says he accepted; it is not an independent appraisal or verified market valuation. The difference from his recalled purchase price is about $305,000, but that arithmetic describes only the two reported figures. It does not show the watch’s fair market value, the seller’s net proceeds, or the dealer’s eventual resale price.

The exact Richard Mille reference is not identified. “Nadal” refers to a family of watches rather than one uniquely specified model, and models can differ substantially. Richard Mille’s Rafael Nadal collection includes distinct references; for example, Christie’s catalogues a white Quartz TPT RM27-01 Rafael Nadal, circa 2019, as a five-piece limited edition. That example illustrates the range, but it does not identify Disick’s watch.
What a separate auction result can—and cannot—show
Phillips recorded a $203,200 realized price in 2023 for a circa-2014 Richard Mille RM 035 AN AL-CA Rafael Nadal, estimated at $100,000–$200,000. That is a result for a specific, separately identified watch—not a comparable sale established to match Disick’s unidentified watch. Without the same reference and relevant details about the individual pieces and sale terms, it cannot establish what Disick’s watch was worth.

A meaningful comparison would require the precise reference and production year, condition and service history, provenance and documentation, whether box and papers were included, and the sale date, venue, and terms. Those details are not supplied in the reported anecdote.
