Scooter Braun transitioned out of the HYBE America CEO role on July 1, 2025, with Isaac Lee taking over. Braun initially stayed on HYBE’s board as a senior adviser. A later report says his board resignation took effect March 30, 2026, while HYBE expected him to continue advising the company. These were separate steps; the reporting does not say Braun severed all ties with HYBE or identify his next venture.

What changed in July 2025

HYBE announced on July 1, 2025, that Braun was transitioning out of the CEO position at HYBE America after about four years in the role. Isaac Lee succeeded him as CEO. Braun was initially reported to remain a HYBE board director and serve as a senior adviser. ABC News, Variety and Billboard covered the announcement.

HYBE chairman Bang Si-Hyuk praised Braun as “an extraordinary partner, a visionary executive, and a true catalyst for cultural exchange,” as quoted by Variety. Coverage described the stated reason for the transition as Braun’s plan to pursue a new venture or strategic focus; it did not name that venture.

How the CEO transition differs from the board departure

Leaving an operating role is not the same as leaving a company’s board. In July 2025, Braun was stepping away from day-to-day leadership at HYBE America while initially retaining a formal board position and an advisory role. Music Business Worldwide later reported that his resignation from HYBE’s board took effect on March 30, 2026, based on a South Korean DART filing. HYBE told the outlet that Braun would continue in an advisory capacity. Music Business Worldwide published that report on July 1, 2026.

Accordingly, the available reporting supports a transition out of HYBE America’s CEO office in 2025 and a subsequent departure from formal board service in 2026—not a claim that Braun left HYBE entirely. The reporting cited here does not establish why the board resignation occurred or what Braun’s next venture will be.
