ScanSource completed its acquisition of DataXoom on October 20, 2025, adding a mobile-connectivity provider to its Integrated Solutions Group alongside Advantix. The latest reported results are now for Q4 and full-year FY2026, not the Q1 FY2026 figures discussed when Mike Baur spoke with CRN. ScanSource reported Q4 net sales of $953.1 million, up 17.3% year over year, and full-year sales of $3.23 billion, up 6.1%.

What did ScanSource acquire DataXoom for?

ScanSource said it completed the DataXoom acquisition on October 20, 2025. The company described DataXoom as a connectivity provider focused on purpose-built mobile deployments and said the acquisition added 17 employees. It complements ScanSource’s Advantix investment in managed connectivity. ScanSource’s acquisition announcement

In a CRN interview, Chair and CEO Mike Baur explained the customer rationale: a partner selling mobile devices may also need to provide connectivity when those devices are used beyond a business’s physical premises. Baur said DataXoom would be partnered with Advantix within the Integrated Solutions Group, initially going to market as two teams while back-office and technology capabilities were integrated. He described the addition this way: “And DataXoom adds more capability and more market reach.” CRN interview with Mike Baur

The interview describes the intended operating approach; it does not establish that the integration has since been completed or quantify DataXoom’s standalone financial contribution.

What was ScanSource’s latest quarter?

As of October 8, 2026, ScanSource’s latest reported quarter was Q4 FY2026, ended June 30, 2026. The company released its Q4 and full-year results on August 20, 2026. These figures replace the interview-era Q1 FY2026 results as the latest quarter; reported sales and gross profit are distinct from the company’s non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA measure. ScanSource Q4 and FY2026 results

Period and measure Reported result
Q4 FY2026 net sales $953.109 million, up 17.3% year over year
Q4 FY2026 gross profit $119.849 million, up 14.0% year over year
Q4 FY2026 diluted EPS $1.24, GAAP
Q4 FY2026 adjusted EBITDA $46.1 million, non-GAAP
Full-year FY2026 net sales $3.226 billion, up 6.1%
Full-year FY2026 gross profit $437.355 million, up 7.0%
Full-year FY2026 adjusted EBITDA $151.5 million, up 4.8%, non-GAAP

ScanSource reported Q4 Specialty Technology Solutions sales of $927.2 million, up 17.6%, citing broad-based North American growth. Intelisys & Advisory sales were $25.9 million, up 7.2%, primarily from higher Resourcive sales. For FY2026, recurring revenue increased 10.6% including acquisitions, and recurring revenue’s share of gross profit rose to 33.7% from 32.8% in FY2025. These are company-reported results, not a separate measure of DataXoom’s contribution. ScanSource Q4 and FY2026 results

How does DataXoom fit with Advantix?

Both sit within ScanSource’s managed-connectivity effort, but the acquisition announcement and interview describe the intended fit rather than a completed integration. DataXoom’s focus on purpose-built mobile deployments expands the connectivity capability ScanSource said it already had through Advantix. Baur’s example is practical: a channel partner can combine a mobile device with connectivity so the customer’s deployment works away from the office as well as inside it. The available company figures do not isolate DataXoom’s results.

What does ScanSource mean by channel convergence?

Baur described convergence as helping partners offer more of the technology stack—hardware, software, services, and connectivity—to existing end-user customers. In the CRN interview, he discussed telecom partners moving into IT and hardware, as well as Intelisys partners selling Microsoft through the Channel Exchange model. He characterized adoption as early and focused on meeting more needs within existing accounts, not as a market-wide result proven by the interview. CRN interview with Mike Baur

A later Q3 FY2026 earnings-call transcript described an organizational step toward this strategy: a Converged Communications unit bringing together ScanSource Specialty Communications and Intelisys CX cloud-based solutions. The company said the group would help specialty communications VARs sell more cloud recurring-revenue solutions and help Intelisys partners attach hardware, with dedicated sales resources across the One ScanSource portfolio. The transcript also said recurring revenue accounted for around 15% of Specialty Technology Solutions gross profit in Q3, led by managed-connectivity growth from Advantix and DataXoom. That figure is for the segment and quarter; it is not a DataXoom-only result. ScanSource Q3 FY2026 earnings-call transcript

How is MicroAge different from DataXoom?

MicroAge is a separate transaction, not part of the DataXoom acquisition. ScanSource announced a $220.5 million all-cash MicroAge deal in August 2026 and completed it on September 2, 2026. The company said MicroAge adds services capabilities and reach in cloud, cybersecurity, data center, and AI. ScanSource MicroAge acquisition announcement

That timing matters when reading the FY2027 outlook in ScanSource’s Q4 release: the release says the outlook excludes the pending MicroAge acquisition. Because the deal closed after that release, those stated projections should not be treated as incorporating MicroAge unless later company guidance says so.
