Which SBI recruitment had the 27 December deadline?
The cutoff belonged to the Special Drive for Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) for Ladakh UT, including Leh and Kargil Valley, under Chandigarh Circle. Its advertisement number was CRPD/CR-SPLDRIVE/2024-25/23, and SBI accepted applications from 7 to 27 December 2024.
It was separate from SBI’s general Junior Associate recruitment, advertisement CRPD/CR/2024-25/24, which covered other listed circles and accepted applications from 17 December 2024 to 7 January 2025. What were the Ladakh drive’s posts and eligibility requirements?
Vacancies and location
SBI’s 2024 notice listed 50 provisional vacancies for Ladakh UT under Chandigarh Circle: 4 SC, 5 ST, 13 OBC, 5 EWS and 23 General. The notice’s reservation conditions applied. Candidates had to select one local language—Urdu, Ladakhi or Bhoti (Bodhi)—and the notice specified no inter-circle or inter-state transfer provision for recruits under this drive.

Age and education
Applicants had to be 20–28 years old as of 1 April 2024, with dates of birth from 2 April 1996 through 1 April 2004, inclusive. The notice provided category-specific upper-age relaxations. Applicants needed a degree in any discipline by 31 December 2024. Final-year or final-semester students could apply provisionally, provided they produced evidence of passing by that date. These were the terms of the 2024 notice, not eligibility rules for a later recruitment cycle.
How did selection and the local-language test work?
Online examinations
Selection involved an online preliminary exam, an online main exam and, for candidates without qualifying school records in their selected language, a local-language test. SBI tentatively projected the preliminaries for January 2025 and the mains for February 2025; those months were estimates in the notice, not confirmed exam dates.

Merit and language proficiency
Preliminary marks did not count toward final selection. The main-exam aggregate determined the category-wise merit list, subject to eligibility verification and passing the local-language test where required. A candidate whose Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet or certificate showed study of the chosen language did not have to take that test.
Candidates needed to read, write, speak and understand their selected language. SBI placed the test after qualification in the main exam but before joining; failure meant no appointment. The notice also stated: “Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project.”
What were the application fee and pay figures?
SBI’s 2024 notice set the application fee at Rs 750 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and nil for SC, ST, PwBD, ESM and DESM candidates. The fee was non-refundable. The same notice listed starting basic pay of Rs 26,730 for graduates, including two advance increments, and estimated starting monthly emoluments at approximately Rs 46,000 with the then-current DA and allowances. Allowances could vary by posting; these are 2024 notice figures, not a current salary guarantee.

The 2024 notice directed applicants to SBI’s careers and current-openings route. That recruitment has ended, so the former application link should not be treated as accepting applications.
