When was the SBI Clerk prelims admit card released?
The Indian Express reported that SBI released the SBI Clerk prelims admit card on 26 December 2023. SBI’s detailed recruitment notice, by contrast, gave 27 December 2023 as the tentative date from which candidates could download the preliminary call letter and the “acquaint yourself booklet.” The first date is contemporaneous reporting of the release; the second is the date in SBI’s notice.

The preliminary exams were reported for 5, 6, 11 and 12 January 2024. SBI described the January schedule as tentative in its detailed notice. These dates have passed and should not be treated as an upcoming exam schedule.

How candidates were instructed to download the call letter
SBI instructed candidates to download the preliminary call letter and “acquaint yourself booklet” from the bank’s website using their registration number and password or date of birth. SBI stated in its detailed advertisement: “NO HARD COPY OF THE CALL LETTER/ ACQUAINT YOURSELF BOOKLET WILL BE SENT BY POST.”
The call letter was a candidate-specific official document. Candidates were directed to follow the instructions in the notice and on their own call letter; a general article or preparation resource could not substitute for it.

Documents SBI specified for candidates called to the main exam
For this recruitment cycle, SBI said candidates called to the main examination would need to bring the authenticated preliminary call letter, an authenticated copy of identity proof, the main examination call letter and the requisite documents. The notice also required two additional photographs matching the photo pasted on the call letter. These were instructions for the 2023–24 recruitment and should not be assumed to apply unchanged to another SBI exam.
