Where to check SBI CBO results and recruitment updates
Use SBI’s Current Openings page for the authoritative status of advertisement CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18. Find the CBO entry and use its final-result or marks links. The page labels the entry “RECRUITMENT OF CIRCLE BASED OFFICER (MARKS SECURED BY THE CANDIDATES IS AVAILABLE NOW).” SBI’s notice says recruitment updates and corrigenda are hosted on its careers website.
The application period for this notice has ended. Do not treat an old application link as an open form; the current listing provides result and marks information, not a verified reopening.
Why the notice says 2,050 regular vacancies, not 2,600
SBI’s notice CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18, dated 29 January 2026, listed 2,050 regular vacancies and 223 backlog vacancies. SBI separately listed 2,600 regular vacancies in an earlier CBO recruitment, advertisement CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03. The 2,600 figure belongs to that earlier notice and should not be applied to the 2026 recruitment.

The published regular and backlog figures are distinct categories; they should not be collapsed into a claim that the current registration was for 2,600 posts.
Key details from the closed 2026 CBO recruitment
- Registration: 29 January–18 February 2026 initially; the deadline was extended to 25 February 2026.
- Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The notice also named certain professional qualifications, including medicine, engineering, chartered accountancy, and cost accountancy.
- Age: 21 to 30 years as of 31 December 2025, with category-specific upper-age relaxations set out in the notice.
- Experience: At least two years of post-qualification officer experience as of 31 December 2025 in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or a Regional Rural Bank listed in the RBI Second Schedule. The notice required employer-certified job-profile documentation and specified additional salary documents for experience at certain banks.
- Circle and language: Candidates could apply for only one circle. They had to be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding at least one specified local language for that circle. A local-language test applied unless the candidate provided the school-level evidence specified in the notice.
- Selection: Online test, screening, interview, and—where applicable—a local-language proficiency test. The online test had objective tests worth 120 marks and a descriptive test worth 50 marks. The notice made the language test a pre-appointment condition for candidates required to take it.
- Fee: ₹750 for General, EWS, and OBC applicants; no fee for SC, ST, and PwBD applicants. SBI described the fee as non-refundable and said registration was complete only after payment by the deadline.
These requirements belong to notice CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18; do not assume they will carry over unchanged to a future CBO recruitment. A future applicant should follow the dates, eligibility conditions, document list, fee rules, and vacancy details in that cycle’s own notice.

- Confirm the advertisement number and dates. Use the SBI Current Openings page and check whether registration is actually open, along with any corrigenda or deadline extensions.
- Check age and qualifying experience against the stated cutoff date. Officer experience requirements and eligible employer categories can determine whether an otherwise qualified graduate can apply.
- Choose the circle carefully. The 2026 notice allowed only one circle per applicant, and its merit lists were circle- and category-specific. Confirm the local-language requirement for the circle you select.
- Prepare the records the notice requires. The 2026 notice listed items including a photo, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration, identity and date-of-birth proof, education and experience records, certified job profile, resume, and salary documentation. A future notice may specify different requirements.
- Follow that notice’s fee and submission instructions. For the 2026 cycle, the fee was non-refundable and the application was considered complete only after payment by the deadline.
