What the 2025 SBI CBO notice covered
SBI issued Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03 for 2,600 Circle Based Officer vacancies. The official notice set the online application registration and fee-payment period as May 9 to May 29, 2025. The Scroll report about the deadline was published on May 29, 2025, which is why its headline said applications would conclude “today.”
The recruitment was circle-specific: SBI’s advertisement said, “The selected candidates shall be posted in the applied Circle only.” Applicants therefore applied for a particular circle, and selected candidates were to be posted in that circle.
Selection stages and current status
The official advertisement listed an online examination, screening, interview and local language proficiency test as selection stages. SBI’s later final-result document says interviews were held during November 2025. SBI’s recruitment results page also lists marks-secured information for Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03. The process has moved to final-result and marks reporting; the old application deadline has passed.

Age and fee details reported at the time
Scroll reported that applicants had to be 21–30 years old as of April 30, 2025. It also reported a ₹750 application fee for UR, EWS and OBC applicants, with an exemption for SC, ST and PwBD applicants. These are details reported for the 2025 recruitment, not current application instructions.
