The ticket was one of four national Division One winners. The amount is a historical report, not a current draw result.
What happened in the Saturday Lotto draw?
PerthNow reported that one Western Australian ticket shared the Division One pool with three other winners across Australia. The West Australian share was reported as $1,244,104.42. The report names Bishop Street Newsagency in Morley in connection with the win.
The story describes a five-person syndicate of regular customers. Each paid roughly $70 toward a System 11 entry. One member temporarily lost her ticket; according to the report, another customer found it on the newsagency floor.

Was there another syndicate with the same numbers?
The article quotes Bishop Street Newsagency manager Peter Nguyen saying: “We didn’t know at the time but we got the same numbers and we made a new syndicate with 10 shares and so it happens there are two syndicates with the same numbers.” This refers to a separate 10-share syndicate, not the five-person group described as paying roughly $70 each for a System 11 entry.
Was the prize later claimed?
The 10 August 2024 PerthNow report does not establish whether this particular prize was subsequently claimed. Its account identifies a winning ticket and the reported share, but does not confirm a later claim outcome.
