The winning ticket was purchased through Lotterywest Play Online. The player was not named in the announcement.
What happened in the 12 October 2024 draw?
The WA ticket was one of four Division One winning tickets nationally in Draw 4511. Lotterywest said one other Division One ticket was in New South Wales and two were in Victoria. The prize amount for the WA ticket was $1,290,825. Lotterywest’s 14 October 2024 announcement also reported eight WA Division Two prizes worth more than $9,000 each.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender described the result as the state’s 49th Division One win of 2024 at that point, saying players had shared more than $65 million that year. That was a year-to-date figure in the 2024 announcement, not a current total.
What were the winning numbers?
Lotterywest lists the numbers for Saturday Lotto Draw 4511, held on 12 October 2024, as:

- Winning numbers: 8, 2, 21, 45, 10 and 28
- Supplementary numbers: 27 and 30
The Lotterywest results page identifies this as the relevant draw. The winning numbers alone do not identify the ticket holder, and Lotterywest’s announcement did not publish the winner’s name.
How likely is a Division One win?
On Lotterywest’s game information page, the approximate odds of Division One with one standard game are 1 in 8,145,060. The odds are rounded and apply to one standard game; the page lists overall odds of winning any prize as approximately 1 in 42. Lotterywest says the minimum entry is four games, so the Division One figure should not be read as the odds for an entire minimum entry. Lotterywest’s Saturday Lotto information says no skill or strategy increases the chance of winning.

Keep the other Lotterywest results separate
The 14 October release also mentioned two WA Division Two wins of $7,933 in Friday’s Millionaire Medley draw, both sold at Carousel Lottery Centre & News. Those were separate from Saturday Lotto’s 12 October results.
Lotterywest also said a $200,000 grant had supported Telethon’s Lotterywest Kids Carnival at RAC Arena, scheduled for 20 October 2024. Wender attributed the operator’s community funding model to profits from tickets, saying that available profits fund grants across the state. These statements describe Lotterywest’s 2024 announcement, not additional prizes in Draw 4511.
