A Girrawheen ticket was one of five national Division One winners in the Saturday Lotto draw covered by PerthNow on 8 August 2021. The ticket shared a $10 million prize pool, making the Western Australian winner’s share $2 million. It was reported as unclaimed when that story was published—but the available account does not establish whether it was claimed later.
What the 2021 Perth report said
PerthNow reported that five tickets across Australia won Division One in Saturday Lotto, sharing a $10 million prize pool. One winning ticket was sold at Newpark Lottery Centre and News in Girrawheen, and the WA winner’s share was $2 million. The report said the prize had not been claimed as of 8 August 2021. Read the PerthNow report.
That is a historical claim-status update, not confirmation that the ticket remains unclaimed. The report does not say what ultimately happened to it, so it cannot establish that the prize was later collected, expired or is still available.
How to check Saturday Lotto results
Lotterywest’s official results information describes several ways to check results, including its website, app, phone and televised results. Its app can check tickets bought online. For a paper ticket, compare it with the official draw result and follow Lotterywest’s contact and prize-claim instructions if it appears to match. See Lotterywest results and checking options.

Lottery results pages update as draws take place. For example, Lotterywest’s homepage listed draw 4717, held Saturday 3 October 2026, with winning numbers 9, 32, 20, 39, 18 and 45 and supplementary numbers 24 and 19. Those numbers belong to that 2026 draw—not the 2021 Girrawheen story. Check Lotterywest’s current results.
Keep later WA winners separate from the Girrawheen story
Lotterywest reported other WA Division One wins in 2026, including a separate report of a sole WA winner who claimed $6.39 million. That later win does not update the claim status of the 2021 Girrawheen ticket. Lotterywest media releases.
