SASSA Status Check for R350 Payment Dates: Find Your SRD Pay Day

The R350 SRD grant is now R370 per month. Check your official monthly status and use the approved period’s pay-day field—not a general grant calendar—for payment timing.

If you’re searching for a “Sassa Status Check for R350 Payment Dates,” check your own monthly status on SASSA’s official SRD service. The grant amount is now R370 per month, not R350, and an approved month’s pay-day field is the best available indication of when your payment is expected. There is no single payment date that applies to every SRD applicant.

How to check your SASSA SRD status and payment date

  1. Open SASSA’s official SRD service.
  2. Use the status-check option and enter the identifying details requested by the service to view your application’s current monthly result.
  3. Select or review the relevant month. SASSA verifies applicants monthly, so a status from a previous period does not establish the result for the current one.
  4. If that period is approved, look for its pay-day field. SASSA’s status guide says a blank pay-day field means payment has not yet been processed; it is not a confirmed payment date.

Use the official service rather than a date guessed from a general grant calendar. Do not pay an intermediary to check a status or to speed up payment.

Why the amount is R370, not R350

“R350” remains a common way to refer to the COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, but the monthly amount increased to R370 from April 2024, according to the Department of Social Development’s annual report. The 2026 Budget Review reporting says the amount remains R370 for 2026/27 (SAnews). In February 2026, the department also said the R370 provision would be paid to successful applicants from 1 April 2026 until March 2027, as reported by SAnews.

What each SASSA SRD status means

The following labels and actions are described in SASSA’s status-check guide, which retains the older R350 wording. Check the live SRD service for your own current result.

Status What it means What to do
Application complete Your reapplication is complete. SASSA will verify you each month. Check your status for each month.
Bank details pending SASSA received an application or reapplication without banking details or a payment preference. Submit the required details through the official SRD site.
Reapplication pending SASSA has not received a reapplication. Apply through the official SRD site.
Period pending Your reapplication was received, but verification for that period is still pending. Check again later in the month.
Period approved You were approved for that period. Check the pay-day field. If it is blank, payment has not yet been processed.
Period declined SASSA declined that period and displays a reason. If you believe the reason is invalid, request reconsideration through the official route.
Canceled Your grant is canceled. Use the reinstatement route in the official service if you want to restore it.

Why a general grant calendar does not give your SRD pay date

The Department of Social Development’s 2026/27 payment schedule lists dates for older-person, disability and children’s grants. For October 2026, it gives 2 October for older-person grants, 5 October for disability grants and 6 October for children’s grants (DSD schedule). Those dates are for those grant categories; they do not establish an SRD payment date. For SRD, use the pay-day field attached to your approved month.

What to do if your status or payment date is unclear

First, check the relevant month again in the official SRD service. If the status remains unclear, the pay-day field is missing after approval, or you need help with your application, contact SASSA at 0800 60 10 11. SASSA lists the number for payout-date information and application assistance. Its contact page says toll-free calling applies from landlines; calls from cellular phones may incur charges. See SASSA’s contact page.
