Approval does not confirm that a payment has been processed or provide a deposit date. Check the exact status for the relevant month on the official SASSA SRD website, then follow the instruction for that status.
Why is my SASSA application approved but showing no payment date?
SASSA’s R350 status guide tells applicants to look for a pay-day value for an approved period. It states: “If no pay day value is provided, no payment has been processed as yet.” In other words, approved but no pay day means the period is approved, but the status guide does not show that payment has been processed.
The blank field does not identify a specific cause, establish when a pay-day value will appear, or guarantee a deposit date. SASSA’s guidance does not set a universal timeline for assigning a pay day. Check the live status for the specific month rather than relying on another applicant’s date or a general payment calendar.
What to do for each SRD status
| Status shown | What it means according to SASSA | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Approved, with no pay-day value | Payment has not yet been processed, according to SASSA’s R350 status guide. | Check the official SRD status service again for a pay-day value. The guide does not give a date by which one must appear. |
| Bank details pending | SASSA has not received banking details or a payment preference. | Submit the requested details through the official SRD website, following the current portal instructions. |
| Pending | Verification for that period is pending. | SASSA advises checking again later in the month. |
| Declined | The status guide says a reason is provided for the declined period. | Read the reason. If you believe it is invalid, use the reconsideration route indicated by SASSA. |
These statuses describe different things: the monthly decision, payment processing, and whether payment details or a preference have been received. A particular status does not, by itself, establish why another part of your payment is delayed.

How to check your status and pay-day field
- Open the official SASSA SRD website and use its status service. Confirm that you are checking the correct month and note the exact wording displayed.
- If that month is approved, look specifically for the pay-day value. If it is blank, SASSA’s guide says the payment has not yet been processed; check the live status again for an update.
- If the status says bank details pending, use the official site to submit the requested payment details or preference, then check the status again.
- If the period is pending, follow SASSA’s advice to check later in the month.
- If the period is declined, read the stated reason and consider reconsideration only if you believe that decision is invalid.
Do not enter your ID number or banking information on an unofficial status-check website. The official SRD portal is the appropriate place to check your case and submit details when requested.
When will I get paid if my SRD is approved?
The sources cited here do not establish a universal date for when a pay-day value will appear or when money will reach an applicant’s account. A blank pay-day field means payment has not yet been processed according to SASSA’s guide; it is not a personal payment date. For information about your specific case, contact SASSA rather than estimating from someone else’s payment experience.

Contact SASSA about an individual case
SASSA lists 0800 60 10 11 for enquiries including pay-out dates and help understanding what happened to an application. Its contact page says calls are toll-free from landlines; cellular calls may cost money. Have the relevant month and status wording available when you enquire.

If the live SRD portal asks you for bank details, follow its current instructions and enter accurate details that belong to you. SASSA’s bank-payment consent form says the account should be in the beneficiary or applicant’s name, not a joint account, and requests proof of account. That form does not establish the requirements for every payment method or every current portal flow, so use the instructions shown in the official service rather than assuming the form applies universally.
