Sarah Jessica Parker’s net worth is commonly estimated at about $200 million, but that is not a verified personal disclosure. Celebrity Net Worth explicitly describes its figure as a combined estimate for Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick; Fortune also puts her worth at around $200 million but does not specify that it is a household figure. Neither source provides an audited balance sheet, so the number should be treated as an estimate, not a confirmed account of Parker’s personal wealth.
How the $200 million estimate is reported
The headline figure depends on the source. Celebrity Net Worth’s 2026 profile calls $200 million the combined net worth of Parker and Broderick. Fortune’s 2026 coverage describes Parker as worth around $200 million without the same joint-wealth qualification. Forbes España has also discussed the figure in connection with Parker’s reported career earnings, but none of these accounts establishes a verified amount of wealth held by Parker individually.
Celebrity Net Worth says its net-worth figures are estimates based on public sources and, at times, private tips. The sources cited here do not publish a complete asset-and-liability schedule or a breakdown separating Parker’s finances from Broderick’s. That makes the distinction between an individual and a household estimate important: the commonly repeated number is not a personal financial statement.
What reported acting compensation contributes to the estimate
The clearest public explanation for the figure is Parker’s work in the Sex and the City franchise. Celebrity Net Worth reports the following compensation figures, which should be read as estimates of gross pay rather than verified take-home earnings:

| Work | Reported compensation | Attribution and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| First 48 episodes of the original Sex and the City | About $50 million | Reported by Celebrity Net Worth in 2026; not an audited earnings statement. |
| Final three seasons of the original series, 46 episodes | About $3.2 million per episode; about $147 million total | Reported by Celebrity Net Worth in 2026; the totals are estimates of compensation. |
| Sex and the City (2008) | $15 million | Reported by Celebrity Net Worth in 2026. |
| Sex and the City 2 (2010) | $20 million | Reported by Celebrity Net Worth in 2026. |
| First season of And Just Like That… | More than $1 million per episode | Reported for Parker and co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis by Celebrity Net Worth; the first season had 10 episodes. |
Fortune’s 2026 article also reports that Parker earned more than $1 million per episode on And Just Like That…. Celebrity Net Worth says the series ran for three seasons and 33 episodes, ending in August 2025, but does not give publicly disclosed compensation for seasons two and three. It would therefore be misleading to use the first-season figure as a confirmed rate for the entire series.
Forbes España likewise attributes about $147 million to the final 46 original-series episodes and $35 million to the two films, drawing on prior published salary accounts. These amounts broadly echo the compensation reports above; they do not prove how much Parker kept or how those earnings contributed to her current net worth.
Why reported earnings do not equal net worth
Net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities at a particular point in time. A reported salary or film payment is only gross compensation: it does not account for taxes, representation and production-related fees, spending, investments, property costs, or debt. Nor does it show whether a specific payment was saved, invested, or used for other purposes.
For that reason, adding reported salaries and film pay together cannot verify the $200 million estimate. The reports cover different periods and use different methods; some later compensation is undisclosed, and the estimate itself may include Broderick’s finances. No complete public accounting in the cited coverage shows the calculation from earnings to net worth.

Other businesses and assets mentioned in coverage
Celebrity Net Worth lists ventures beyond acting, including production company Pretty Matches, the SJP Collection footwear brand, the Invivo X, SJP wine partnership, fragrances, and publishing imprint SJP Lit. It reports that the SJP Collection ceased operations in 2024. The sources do not assign a specific dollar value to these ventures or quantify their contribution to Parker’s wealth.
The same profile reports that Parker and Broderick bought neighboring West Village townhouses for about $34.5 million in 2016 and combined them. It also mentions property in the Hamptons, a home in Ireland, and the couple’s sale of an earlier New York townhouse in 2021. These reported purchase and sale details are not current appraisals and do not establish Parker’s individual ownership share or the properties’ net value after any liabilities.

In her 2026 Northwestern University commencement address, as reported by Fortune, Parker said: “I am one of eight kids that struggled financially.” Fortune also quoted her describing how her family generally had what it needed but rarely what it wanted, and saying that experience helped create her ambition and work ethic. These remarks give context to her background; they are not evidence for a particular net-worth calculation.
