There is no reliable, current figure for Sarah Ferguson’s net worth in the public sources reviewed. Those sources describe past work, business difficulties and recent commercial uncertainty, but do not provide a verified balance sheet. Precise online estimates should not be treated as fact unless they disclose a traceable source and a clear valuation method.
Why Sarah Ferguson’s net worth is not established
A net-worth figure requires a credible accounting of assets and liabilities at a particular date. The available reporting does not provide that accounting for Ferguson. It therefore cannot support a verified total or a defensible range.

Her reported earnings, a former company’s debts, public royal funding and speculation about future book work are different kinds of figures. None, by itself, establishes her personal net worth.
How Sarah Ferguson has earned or sought income
Reporting describes several income efforts over time, including writing, public speaking, endorsements and business ventures. Sky News reported in September 2025 that Ferguson had turned in recent years to speaking engagements and writing books, including romance novels and children’s books. The report noted uncertainty about the publication date of a forthcoming title; it did not state her earnings.

The Observer’s June 2026 account of her business history lists her 1996 biography My Story, a Weight Watchers endorsement deal, children’s books and other ventures as attempts to generate income after her divorce. It reported that her earnings did not keep pace with her outgoings. These examples provide context about work and business activity, not a current income figure or balance sheet.
What the reported business debts and closures show
The Observer reported that Hartmoor LLC, a US company formed to promote Ferguson’s brand, collapsed in 2009 with debts exceeding £600,000. That is a historical report about a company’s debts. It is not a statement of Ferguson’s current personal liabilities, and it cannot be subtracted from an unknown set of personal assets to calculate her net worth.
The same 2026 report said seven UK-based firms were voluntarily struck off the company register in May 2026, the planned Mothers Army venture was abandoned, and Sarah’s Trust was removed from the charity register on 8 June 2026. These developments indicate changes to business and charitable activity; they do not disclose Ferguson’s assets, debts or income.
Royal funding is not Ferguson’s personal wealth
The Royal Household’s financial report for April 2024 to March 2025 records a Sovereign Grant of £86.3 million: £51.8 million for the core grant and £34.5 million for Buckingham Palace reservicing. The grant funds official royal duties and maintenance of occupied royal palaces. It is institutional funding, not a personal payment to Ferguson, and should not be counted as her income or wealth. The Royal Household’s 2024–25 financial reports.
Sky News reported that Ferguson shared Royal Lodge with her former husband and raised a question about the extent of her contribution to the accommodation, but did not establish an amount. That reporting does not establish that she owned the property or what her housing costs were.
Is Sarah Ferguson writing a memoir for money?
In September 2026, reports circulated that Ferguson might be negotiating a tell-all memoir. The Independent reported that her spokesperson said she was not close to signing a multi-million-dollar deal and had no plans to write a tell-all. A possible advance should therefore be treated as speculation, not current income.

- More than £600,000: the Observer’s 2026 report of Hartmoor LLC’s debts when the company collapsed in 2009; not a current personal debt or net-worth figure.
- £15,000: the Observer reported that Ferguson accepted this amount from Jeffrey Epstein in 2010 to pay unpaid wages and bills of a former personal assistant. The article reported that she called accepting it a “gigantic error of judgment.” This historical payment is not evidence of her present wealth.
- £86.3 million: the Royal Household’s total Sovereign Grant for 2024–25, including palace reservicing; institutional funding, not Ferguson’s personal income.
How to assess online net-worth estimates
Before relying on a precise celebrity net-worth figure, look for a named source, a date and an explanation of how the estimate was calculated. A useful method should distinguish personal assets from company finances, income from wealth, and gross assets from liabilities. Without that information, an exact figure or range can give a false impression of certainty.
