Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 Still Offers Up to $1,000 With Trade-In

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 can cost $999.99 before tax with the full $1,000 trade-in credit—but that maximum depends on your device and current cart valuation.

Samsung’s U.S. store is advertising up to $1,000 in instant trade-in credit for the Galaxy Z Fold7. The 256GB model starts at $1,999.99, which works out to $999.99 before tax only if your eligible trade-in receives the full credit. It is a conditional trade-in offer, not a flat $1,000 price cut; confirm your device’s value in Samsung’s checkout before deciding.

The Fold7 deal at a glance

Item Current advertised terms
Region Samsung U.S. store
256GB starting price $1,999.99
Maximum advertised trade-in credit Up to $1,000, subject to device eligibility and valuation
Lowest 256GB price with the maximum credit $999.99 before tax
Where to check the offer Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 buying page and trade-in page

Samsung’s listed starting price is for the entry 256GB configuration. The 512GB and 1TB versions cost more, so even a $1,000 credit does not bring those models down to $999.99. Check the selected model’s price and credit together in your cart.

Offer warning: Samsung can change or discontinue promotions. The offer is current only while Samsung displays it, and the final credit shown for your trade-in in the cart is the amount to use in your calculation. Samsung’s product page carries the offer and product details.

What Samsung reportedly offered for specific trade-ins

A report published by Droid Life on August 6, 2025, described these trade-in values during that promotion. They are historical examples, not a guaranteed current rate card; use Samsung’s live valuation flow for today’s offer.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Up to $1,000
Galaxy S25 Ultra Up to $1,000
Galaxy Z Fold5 Up to $900
Galaxy Z Fold4 Up to $800
Galaxy S24 Ultra Up to $800
Google Pixel 9 Pro Up to $600

Droid Life’s August 6, 2025 deal report also said the free storage upgrade from the preorder period had ended. That report mentioned separate promotions on selected watches and earbuds and a six-month Google AI Pro benefit at the time; those were date-sensitive extras, not part of the trade-in credit, and should not be assumed to remain available.

How to find your actual price

  1. Open the Galaxy Z Fold7 buying page and select the storage, color and unlocked or carrier configuration you want.
  2. Choose the trade-in option and select the exact make, model and storage capacity of your old device.
  3. Answer the condition and functionality questions accurately. The valuation may depend on whether the device powers on and functions, its screen and body condition, and other criteria shown in the offer.
  4. Review the credit displayed in the cart, then check whether any other discounts or credits remain applied. Samsung’s offer terms generally restrict combining trade-in offers with other Samsung, carrier or retailer promotions unless the terms specifically permit it. See the offer terms rather than assuming a coupon, app discount or carrier offer will stack.
  5. Compare the full device price, credit, tax, shipping and—if financing—the total financed amount and payment term. Tax treatment of trade-in credits varies by jurisdiction, so do not assume tax will be calculated on a particular amount.
  6. Before shipping the old phone, back it up, remove Google and Samsung accounts, disable device protection as required, and factory-reset it. Photograph its condition, record its IMEI, and keep the packaging and shipment tracking details.

Samsung’s trade-in process evaluates the submitted device. If its condition does not match what you declared, the final credit may be affected under the program terms. The trade-in page also presents cracked-device offers in some cases; that does not mean every damaged phone qualifies for the same credit. Select the correct condition and offer, and review the return and inspection terms before sending the phone.

Check whether your old phone is financed, leased, carrier-locked or subject to an outstanding carrier obligation. A trade-in does not automatically cancel what you still owe to a carrier, and financing may affect eligibility. Also review how the trade-in works if you return the Fold7 after shipping the old device.

Is the $1,000 credit better than selling your phone?

Compare Samsung’s confirmed credit with the realistic amount you could net from a private sale—not an optimistic listing price. Account for marketplace fees, shipping, time, fraud risk and the possibility that a buyer negotiates or returns the device. A $1,000 instant credit can be worthwhile for convenience, but it is not automatically the best financial outcome if a reputable resale channel would leave you with more.

  • Samsung trade-in may fit if you want one transaction, value immediate credit and are comfortable with inspection and shipping conditions.
  • Independent sale may fit if your phone could sell for substantially more after fees and you are willing to manage the sale.
  • Check carrier offers separately if considering a carrier promotion. The headline credit alone is not comparable if it requires a particular plan or pays out over time; verify current terms directly before deciding.

Who should consider buying the Fold7?

The deal is most compelling for someone who already wants a foldable and whose live Samsung valuation reaches the maximum—especially a Fold6 owner if the cart confirms the full credit. It may also suit a recent flagship owner who prefers a fast, one-transaction trade-in to selling privately.

The Fold7 has a 6.5-inch cover display, a large foldable interior screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a 200MP main camera, and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. Samsung lists IP48 water and particle resistance. These specifications may help justify the purchase for buyers who will use the larger folding display for multitasking, documents or tablet-style media; they do not eliminate the usual foldable-phone trade-offs, including a high purchase price and repair or long-term durability concerns. See Samsung’s product page for the listed features.

When to wait or choose a different phone

  • Wait or shop around if your live credit is far below $1,000, your phone has stronger resale value, or a carrier offer may be better after accounting for its requirements.
  • Consider a conventional Galaxy S Ultra model if camera zoom, battery endurance, familiar durability or lower cost matters more than a large folding screen.
  • Skip the Fold7 if you rarely use split-screen apps or tablet-style viewing, or if foldable repair costs and long-term hinge or display durability are concerns.
  • Before committing, make sure the configuration and color you want are in stock and that you are not giving up valuable carrier credits, protection benefits or financing terms by switching.

Samsung’s U.S. offer should not be treated as a worldwide price: trade-in values, terms and consumer protections vary by country. Current carrier terms and independent resale prices are not established here, so compare them directly for your location and transaction.
